But, But, I Thought They Were Hiding Her In Alaska
The Patriot Room ^ | September 7, 2008 | Bill Dupray

Two days ago, the morons over at MSNBC had their panties in a twist saying that the Mavericuda campaign was hiding Sarah Palin in Alaska to avoid the media. Funny, they could have called Charles Gibson over at ABC who was offered an interview several days ago.

Yeah, why would ABC confirm the offer a couple of days ago? Let’s let Fleeing Scaredycat Dipshit governor story just hang out there.

I noticed the same - that ABC let Palin take flak for not taking an interview, when they’ve known for days that she has one scheduled.

Their perfidy is duly noted. I’m hoping that the upcoming Republican administration is taking names.

Screw the msm and their sanctimonious blow-hards with their Sunday morning talk shows.

Her eldest son’s unit is deploying from Alaska to Iraq next week - that’s not news. Yes, I’m being circumspect, and it’s just conjecture.

Duh, she's still the Governor of Alaska. She went home because she had to go back to work.

She is going to give the media a 58 day velvet-gloved pounding and on Nov. 5 they will be wondering what the hell hit them.

Anyone have info on Biden doing Sunday shows the Sunday after he was picked?

It's called Allowing Your Competition To Make Themselves Sound Stupid.

I am worried about what is to come from the national media. The liberal media has tagged Palin as inexperienced, and those of us who support her think she’s ready for the big time. None of us can really know how she will do until she is faced with tough questioning in the debates, Sunday talk shows, etc. Alaska politics is a lot different than Washington politics. I admire Palin a lot, but just because I like her and want her to succeed doesn’t mean that she will deliver when crunch time rolls around.

I’ve had too many experiences of thinking “wow” about someone, only to find out that they weren’t exactly as they had been portrayed. I hope that isn’t the case. I pray that Palin is as she seems and that her core beliefs are as strong as advertised, because I think she could be the type of role model that the women in this country could use right now.

Have you watched any of her prior debates and interviews? You might want to so do if you’re this concerned.

Some of us aren’t; because we’ve followed her progress since it was learned she was challenging the incumbent Republican Governor in Alaska. She beat the national and in state Republican establishment, not easy to do as those of us that have supported quite a few primary challenges to sitting Republicans would attest. Heck, Ted Stevens survived his primary just this year.

Ding. ding, ding ... Bob Schieffer gets her next. Schieffer and Gibson are classy operators.

Well, I hope you’re right. But I am less inclined to grant them the benefit of the doubt on this, based upon a long history of past experience.

No, I haven’t seen any of her prior political work. I had not heard of Sarah Palin until I started reading about her here on FR in the last few weeks. The media has been saying that Palin was not properly vetted for the Vice Presidential Candidate position, and while I don’t know if that’s true or not, the McCain/Palin camp doesn’t seem very determined to set the record straight on that. Why not come out with the complete timeline of events leading to McCain’s decision to pick Palin? Instead, day after day, the media repeats the same old lines, saying that Palin was a last minute pick because the right wing and Karl Rove forced McCain to drop the idea of picking who he really wanted, which was either Joe Liebermann or Tom Ridge. I’d like to know the truth on this.

I will go and watch some of Palin’s past debates. Maybe I will feel more confident after viewing them.

She was in New Mexico and Colorado yesterday, Michigan on Friday, will be in Missouri tomorrow and in Ohio and Pennsylvania on Tuesday. When was she in Alaska?

It takes time to become adept at debates, interviews and dealing with the national press. Heck the three others invovled have been at this for years if not decades.

She’ll have to get her footing established and it wouldn’t be surprising if she stumble a bit at first while she developes her techniques. I remember President Bush not doing that well in his first encounters but over time he got better.

I’d really like to know whether ZeroBama has ever been properly vetted to ensure that he really is entitled to assume the office of the President of the United States if he is elected. The simple posting of a questionable copy of a birth certificate on Daily Kos does not do the job.

Agree......

Fox is running an biographical story on McCain at this time. I think one on Obama follows.
