“Is there a way to get a copy of the accident report from the police?”
I suppose there is, but it’s been gone over and over and there was no reason to charge the driver by all accounts. There is a lot of information out there about this.
BTT!
Thanks AuntB.
If a copy is available, I was going to suggest that it be posted on the FR along with Biden's statement to show what a lier he (Biden) is.
..his conduct in the Clarence Thomas hearings is all I needed to know about him...
Yes, me too.
Too bad the public doesn’t know about it. They would say, Clarence, who?
..maybe Anita Hill will go out on the stump with him...
Curtis C. Dunn, 43, of Kaolin, PA, the unfortunate driver of the Semi-truck, died a few years ago.
Except there was no drinking. There was not even speeding. The trucks brakes checked out, as well. It was not the drivers fault.
Biden insisted Wednesday in a brief telephone interview from Iowa he told the story as he knew it.
All I said was what I heard at the time. What I heard from folks at the time is hed been drinking, Biden said, sounding agitated. I dont want to talk about it. . . . She must have pulled out. . . . Its still painful to talk about 35 years later.

Biden is a jerk...
I wonder if he will go after the drunk illegal aliens who kill innocent American citizens ????
I’m sure he will, right after hell freezes over.
This is hideous.
That’s as a good a word as any to describe it.
Just when you thought these rodents cretins could get any lower...
Just when you thought these rodent cretins couldn’t get any lower...
Biden is evil.
Wow, an ourright lie to gain sympathy. And the media will let it slide. I’d be mad if this could surprise me. But I feel numb, I expect stories like this.
I’m not even mildly surprised.
You can tell Biden is a REAL big a**h***.
Find some trendy contemporary yet highly popular theme and throw yourself out in front of it, speaking on behalf of everyone that identifies with this issue. Some politicians pick up on themes that have a high reverb in society and run with it, and that to me is simply low brow political opportunism of the worst kind.
It's not leadership, it's not moral, it's not patriotic; it's simply popularist trash and those politicians who engage in this sort of nonsense are immediately seen as lesser in my eyes. Unfortunately even McCain falls into this category with global warming, his anti-torture bill....... Of course I will support McCain as the lesser of two evils and as a “semi-conservative” candidate, but that sort of behavior should be shunned but because you're dealing with a broadly uneducated populous that has a lot of feelings but lacks in reasoning politicians who engage in this are rewarded.
It's international. Even in Germany, Schroeder more or less played games with very popular feelings and perception in 2002 to get reelected. He went against us on Iraq for that reason. It is sad that “The People” reward such behavior. It's in business, where some managers pick up on trendy themes and concepts and run with them, often even knowing full well it's nonsense. It's in the media where certain contemporary themes get beat to death. It's in fashion, education, psychology.............. But I guess the problem is that it's OK when we're talking about bell-bottom pants and TQM or the colors of cars, but when it comes to public policy one would sure hope that pragmatism, strategic thought, basic Constitutional concepts, basic universal moral values, and clear empirical analysis are the driving reasons, not a touchy feely fad.
Bottom line: American society is a very trendy society.
Just as John Edwards uses the tragic death of his son to try to score political points, Biden uses his tragedy to gain the sympathy vote. These people are sick.
