The local Arcata California University radio station KHSU came under fire this week amid a hasty management resignation over uber-liberal programming. (depiction of our troops as bloody kikkers ) and possible financial mis management. There is a new sheriff in town

My fellow freepers, I wasn't going to post this segment from my Fri broadcast, but I am getting so much hate mail for sticking up for this guy that I wanted to call attention to someone who is trying to make a difference on our liberal college campus situatons. In a nutshell, here is a guy trying to set an example to the kids and calling attention to liberal brainwashing via the college television and radio.....for it, he will probably lose his job. It is my opinion that these guys deserve our support. The broadcst is in broadband format.
w00t!....Last time I got arrested was at HSU!!!!!
Northern California is full of nuts.
I use to live in Santa Cruz and attended Cabrillo College and was planning to go to Berkeley. I got side tracked and wound up back in Texas — THANK GOD!
I was on vacation last year-drove through Arcata, and stopped for lunch at a nice Italian restaurant on the square!
I’ll never forget, a meter cop that had on some Reno 911 style shorts. I wanted a picture, but by the time I got parked and got my camera, he was gone!
AND, the only thing stronger than the pot smell from the locals was the body odor!
eu-de-Arcata....ah yes, I know it well.
I used to do some IT consulting at the school. That place is stuck in in a 60s time warp. Some of the students were actually living in trees. There is a reason that Arcata is considered to be “Behind the Redwood Curtain”.
But that area is one on the prettiest on the planet to bad it is wasted on druggies.
When the Feds were up there recently to do some dope raids, the local radio station would broadcast whenever the Feds were leaving their hotel and give the direction they were headed, just to help out the local growers. Feds got a LOT of one-finger salutes from the locals, too.
There are blogs telling the kids how to take the dope back home with them. Apparenty the train is a favored transportation system. And yes, one local station does what it can to promote and enable. The university is the focal point. If it was up to me, I wouldn’t hesitate to close it down as a public danger anymore than I would a whore house in the neighborhood. Let me revise that, whores provide a public service.
