WHY did Obama’s official Fight The Smears website delete the Birth Certificate “smear” explanation?

There used to be a link on BarackObama.com Fact Check Center to the Birth Certificate explanation that is on this my.BO page, which, by the way, is NOT easy to find if you go to Obama’s website looking for “Fight The Smears.”

WHY did Obama remove that link?

Thanks for the update. I’ve been following this story somewhat from behind. I think several posts were made before I began following too closely, but now it appears there is some meat behind the claims.

We would spot something wrong and post the reality verus the sites bs.

Anyone who thinks this will be a nifty way to keep Obama from the White House should consider Jerry Brown’s road to election as California’s Attorney General. According to the law, he wasn’t qualified, based on the length of time that had passed since he practiced law in the state. The Dems didn’t care, the media ignored it, and he got elected.

I think the "Obama was born in Kenya" story is a complete red herring.

There are two different documents, a "birth certificate" and a "certificate of live birth." The birth certificate contains much more information than the certificate of live birth. In his ghost written "autobiography," Obama mentioned that he still has his original birth certificate.

Obama does not want to release his birth certificate because it contains information that he does not want out, such as his birth religion being Muslim or his birth name being Barry or the fact that his parents were not married when he was born.

I think that someone affiliated with B.O.'s campaign came up with a fake "certificate of live birth" to quash calls for the release of his "birth certificate." They passed it on to the useful idiots at Kos to post so they could have plausible deniability. Some idiot then copied it over to an official campaign website. They have now pulled it from the campaign website, since it was never intended to be posted there.

As is usually the case, the cover-up is worse than what was originally being covered up.

I found something interesting a couple of weeks ago and neglected to save the site. A person posting on a Hillary Clinton site ‘seemed’ to know a bit about Hawaii and how the ‘system’ worked back when Obama was born.

They posted that it would not have been unusual - at that time - to have put “African” for the father, that later it was changed to Negro and then to Black.

Guess I didn't save it as it would have been another unverifiable statement.

Still, NOTHING is forth coming. It's buried. If i recall right, he had to RELEASE his medical records to the public and never granted permission. It's similar to Kerry who NEVER gave consent to releasing his military records - in detail.

It is confusing, but I stand by a couple of things. The Obama version and the Kos version are different (borders, seal), and the Kos version has been photoshopped. (The resolution on the Obama version makes it hard to do much with it).

The questions raised by Israeli Insider and others regarding the timing of Jay McKinna’s forged posts following KOS’s initial post (who posted BEFORE Obama did, BTW) are germaine, IMO.

So many Obama citizenship threads, so little time...If the Dim's International Man of Mystery is given the Rat nomination for POTUS, and a certified copy of his birth certificate has not yet been made public, the question of his "natural born" status must be raised with the various Secretaries of states etc.. Under the circumstances, I hope there would be a coordinated effort on the national level to determine if at least one state official charged with ballot oversight might demand certified copies of Obama's birth documents- sans blackout fields- from Hawaii, prior to making a decision to place BO on the state ballot.

I really can't see why any honest candidate for office or state official would object to this. In fact, certified birth documents of all the POTUS candidates ought to be provided and reviewed prior to their name being placed on the ballot.

So it is a good thing that Obama still has his original birth certificate (according to his ghost written autobiography). The question is, why won't he release a copy of it?

Either (a) the birth certificate contains information that Obama does not want released to the public, and/or (b) he wants this issue to remain open to distract from other real and more damaging issues.

Either possibility is equally realistic at this point.

There has been no good reason why he has not released an official certified copy of the Hawaii Certificate of Live Birth or a copy of the dusty birth certificate he found in a book. One reason why he has not done it yet is simply because everybody wants it and, because he's acting like a childish prick, he's not going to give it to them unless he wants to.

Days ago I looked into the forged Obama Birth Certificate Myth and realized it was all BS. Basically, we have a lot of people running around making mistakes and then trying to pretend revelations that destroyed their first claims are exposing other, new issues. All I see are people making wild claims, being proved wrong, and then moving onto new wild claims - to be proved wrong again. As proof of this pattern let me point to one of these ‘experts’ who did a poor job of examining the documents in the first place, a person called Polirak over at Town Hall.

Before we get into this I want to share what I discovered when I looked into these files, before I even began to look around the blogosphere.

1. First I noted the certificate was a recent production that is made by a laser printer and is on a form put in place in 2001 (look at the lower right hand corner of any version of the certificate for this information). 
2. I also noted a stamped date from the back which bled through on the two version (one on the DailyKos and one on the Obama campaign site) which shows this modern version was produced around Jun 6 2007
3. I discovered 2 dots from the laser printer that can be found on all three files (some folks just recently discovered the large one next to the image of the state seal)
4. I could detect the impression of the state seal stamp and signature area on two of the files.

There are three electronic images of birth certificates at the center of this silly controversy: (1) a BHO certificate Daily Kos posted initially [image loaded here], which Kos says he obtained electronically from the Obama campaign [image here],  (2) the version of the certificate on the Obama website, and (3) a clearly mocked up “blank” form produced by a blogger who goes by the name Opendna (aka John Mckinnon).  

In my analysis I find the Kos version to be the highest quality image file of the original document, produced in Jun of 2007 by the state of Hawaii. I find the Obama campaign site version to be a lower quality version of the original, probably because someone decided to shrink the file size to optimize download size for the web. And I find the Opendna version to be a deliberately manipulated version of the original Kos image, because the Opendna version has no evidence of bleed through from the back side, no imprinted time stamp, no weak impression of the state seal and signature area.  

This analysis took about 30-60 minutes, not days and days.

I have been putting off this posting on this matter because there has never been anything ‘discovered’ that proved a forgery, but simply proved people were running wild with their imaginations.  Polarik provides the best example of this.

It is all so simple. If you want to remove the Photo Shop artifacts you reprint the document, rescan it and all the telltales will be gone. And so will those faint bleed through impressions. But the black dots will remain. Is there some evidence this happened? Yep - let’s go to Polarik’s last attempt to create a conspiracy out of thin air.

I don’t think it’s the reference to his first name, but last name, on the BC. If, for instance, he was born ‘barry dunham’ then we would all like to know when did he switch to barack obama, why did he switch, did his ‘81ish trip to Pakistan have anything to do with it, was it due to a muslim “rebirth”, etc.
