CNN Poll: Obama Hemorrhaging, Not Healing Democrats
The Patriot Room ^ | July 5, 2008 | Bill Dupray

In an ominous trend for Obama, only 54% of Hillary voters will vote for Obama and 1/3 will stay home. Maybe the Messiah is running low on Kool-Aid.

Obama move to the center-left is infuriating the Hillary supporters.

He is now saying the stuff Hillary did, and lost on.

I wonder if we can really believe this.

I swore I’d skip the Presidential line of ballet before I’d vote for McCain, but I’m going to hold my nose, bring a barf bag and wash my hands afterwards. And vote for him. Hillary supporters may do likewise.
Or they may realize that voting for crook is a whole different thing from voting for a racist, Marxist, crypto-Muslim crook.

There are thousands and thousands of vocal Hillary supporters and other dems who are as strongly anti-Obama as we are. The following site is a clearing house for anti-obama sites that are run by dems...

http://www.nobamanetwork.com

They recognize the death of their own party in an obama Presidency.

It is very encouraging.

The guy couldn't unite his party and even lost the popular vote to the Beast. They actually nominated a guy named Barack Hussein Obama and thought that would sell to the American voter.

If liberal John Kerry, anti-American, Communist sympathizer got thumped, why would an ultra liberal, Muslim turned Black Liberation follower, anti-American, Communist sympathizer Barack Hussein Obama do any better.

I’m surprised myself. I thought Obambi would get a big bounce in the polls. The polls show even and with the Wilder effect, you can discount his support by 5%-10%.

If McCain and the Repubs show any will to win, I think we’re looking at a McGovern size win.

You have to understand that these people live in an alternate universe.

There is a chasm between the talk I hear in DC and the talk I hear from middle America. The people here think Osama is a shoe in, while when I travel throughout the country most people I know can't vote for an unaccomplished empty suit who went to a hate-whitey church for 20 years.

“There is a chasm between the talk I hear in DC and the talk I hear from middle America.”

There is a chasm between DC and the rest of America. DC attracts liberal do-gooders from all over the country. They grow fat off the public’s tax dollars, while telling themselves they’re doing “public service”. The chasm is almost as bad as that between the French peasants and the denizens of Versailles. We celebrated our Declaration of Independence yesterday. The government we have now is not the one the Founders envisioned.

I am beginning to think that a significant segment of the democrat party (not just PUMA type Clinton die-hards) is starting to wake up and realize what America would look like if they were to follow the party leaders.

I took the time to look at a number of the blogs linked to that site. There's a lot of pro-Hillary anger but there is also a lot of fear-of-obama. A lot of these folks see him as the marxist-racist-inexperienced hack-arrogant-puppet that we know he is. There are a number of 'gay' bloggers there who despise him as much as we do but for their own reasons.

I am not suggesting that we let down our guard about the democrats at all. I am simply pointing out that, in spite of the MSM beatification of St. Obama, the party rank and file is not completely sold.

At their convention, the Dems will come together, circle the wagons and project unity.

At their convention, the Pubbies will circle the wagons with the conservative core on the outside, as McCain continues to give them the finger.

Obama can expect to get 95% of the vote Kerry got in 04, plus many young, new voters.

McCain, well, much of his support comes from older Americans, and many of them may not be around by November, as their numbers dwindle. And unlike the Dems’ dearly departed, the GOPs’ dearly departed usually don’t vote.

One such young fellow was working a shift with my husband the other night that became very slow. They got into a political discussion and this guy is a liberal in support of Obama. One issue after another my husband was able to get him to the point of having no answer.

One I can recall is that my husband stated that Obama is a racist. The guy said “well, I am a catholic and I wouldn’t want to be held accountable for the priests that have molested children”. My husband told me that he replied back to the guy “but if your priest stood up there at your church and preached that is it okay to molest children and you stayed at that church, I would hold you accountable”. Like every issue right down the line, the guy had no good answer but is still going to vote for Obama.

the media is so in love with the idea of a black man as president they are going to miss the real story of this election
obama is not as loved as they think, he won the primary due to the massive amount of negative turnout for hillary, I believe the only reason it was even close at the end was because of the republican primary being over months earlier and operation chaos
the people I have spoken to, many of whom are diehard MA kerry/kennedy democrats are going to vote for mccain and not because they are racist

of course my evidence is anecdotal but no more than the media pretending a poll of 1000 people represents the opinion of entire US population

this election will not be won be Obamacans as the media wish
it will be won by the McRats

it’s tough on the MSM — they thought they had flexed their muscles and imposed a president against the will of the people

Well, actually, they did. The MSM made this election. They managed to resurrect McCain's candidacy and got him on the GOP ticket. As for Obama/Clinton, they would have been content with either.

In 04, Kerry had so little accomplishment that he had to borrow achievements from others and claim them as his own.

Obama's accomplishments wouldn't fill a 3x5 card. Yet, he is the nominee because the MSM has been promoting his candidacy since Iowa.

The MSM won: they got McCain on one ticket and Obama on the other.

If that third of the Dems, and that third of the Pubbies, and that third of the Independents joined forces, they could clear out the hacks in Washington and be a force to sway future elections.

That is the kind of coalition that got Reagan elected. And it will be the only way to stop the movement leftward by both major political parties.

There are thousands and thousands of vocal Hillary supporters and other dems who are as strongly anti-Obama as we are. The following site is a clearing house for anti-obama sites that are run by dems... Nobama Network

Very interesting site. :-)

"NobamaNetwork.com has arrived! Week 2 of our website. Watching Nobama is like watching a ping pong game with players wearing flipflops! Nobama still has no idea what he stands for, neither do we! In these dangerous times for America we don't need a man learning on the job in the White House. And we still can't find a Nobama supporter who knows why they support him. Ask around! NobamaNetwork.com just keeps growing! Nobama!"

One of the organizations is "PUMA", officially "People United Means Action" but, unofficially, "Party Unity My A$$".

" JOIN PUMA PAC HERE! ... Hundreds of people ask us if we’re going to Denver. Are we going to march on the convention; demand that Hillary’s delegates are allowed to vote; demand that Hillary Clinton be allowed to deliver a free and honest speech. ... Are we going to Denver? You bet your ass we’re going to Denver. ... I don’t care if there are only 50 middle-aged women like me standing in the rain with fanny packs and homemade signs. I don’t care if the inept, elitist clowns who have the audacity to believe they in any way deserve to be called leaders continue to pretend to ignore us; continue to attack us like dogs; continue to undermine, ridicule, bully, and harass us. ... Are we going to Denver? Will we be there to witness the final act in the Shakespearean tragedy that Axelrod, Obama, and Dean have staged for us against our will and without our permission? ... We wouldn’t miss it for the world."

Some Dems are on the receiving side of the Politically Correct Speech Police for the first time in their lives and they don't like it at all.

Regarding a talk show appearance by an anti-Obama female Dem" "Almost immediately, a black man called in and basically mimicked the words of Obama - that white women "need to get over it" and are bitter. Not a smart move. A broadcast of the show was posted on the wen and Adkins was vilified ... "

Point 1: My wife is a very, apolitical individual. She was voting for Hillary for the very same reason a lot of women were going to vote for Hillary; because they saw the chance to vote for a woman for president in her lifetime.

She will NOT be voting for O-bwaana.

Point 2: If you believe a substantial amount of the woman who supported Hillary will back down, turn around and vote for Obama, you're experience with women is quite limited.

Point 3: Bring a new girlfriend or wife into a place where there would be contact with an ex-girlfriend or wife sometime and see how well they get together.

Every minute Obama speaks at the convention it will be like pushing the Hillary supporters faces into the mess.

The paleo-media is attempting to prop up a failure candidate. Trying to bandwagon and corral all of those p'ed off women. There is no such proverb as, "Women scorned are a garden of beautiful flowers".

This is at the top of the page you linked to:

Nobama Network is a portal site designed to bring together the Grass Roots Movements in America spawned by outrage over the actions of the DNC disenfranchising voters, reassigning delegates, selecting their illegitimate Nominee and diminishing the most basic factor that makes America great, our right to vote and be heard! We are the Voice of the Voters! Democrats, Republicans, Independents, united we stand!

I don't really blame them for their outrage...I'm still aghast at the audacity of giving delegates to a guy that wasn't even on the ballot! And if that wasn't bad enough, they took delegates away from one that WAS on the ballot.

Those crazy lib kids!

It is way too soon to feel optimism and I am certainly no Pollyanna but I do see a glimmer of light on the horizon.

We will never be in full agreement with the Democrats on multiple issues but, if enough of them wake-up to the marxist America that they are allowing their party to construct for their own children, we might see a general swing by them back away from the edge of the abyss.

America will never be the exact way we want it to be, there are too many of our countrymen who have their own, differing world view. If, however, the Democrats marginalize the extreme left in their party leadership and return to the more centrist Kennedy style then we will have won and saved the future for our children.

I don’t know if this applies to your family or not, but my experience from living in the south is that many southern Democrats are actually some of the most socially conservative among us. Southern democrats who would like to vote for the Republican but end up voting for the Democrat because of economic issues. They tend to be blue collar, conservative democrats.

What pisses me right off is having to watch these southern democrats be called racists because they are against Obama. It’s the poor and middle class whites that have the most to lose under affirmative action programs and the most to lose under a President that engages in reverse racism. Yet, SOME partisan Republicans (shame on them) as well as Obama supporting liberals (go figure!) don’t miss up the opportunity to exploit this issue to their own benefit and call these democrats racists when what those democrats are worried about is more reverse racism for themselves and their kids. Many of them (from my experience anyways) are as conservative and patriotic as the best of us and have served in combat and have kids in the military. Don’t let that stop the RINOs and Obama wing of the Democrat party from calling them racists and every other name in the book. It’s been disgusting to watch.
