Since I've discovered WABC.com I listen to them all. No longer confined to the local yokels I can now hear Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham (where the hell IS she?), Mark Levin, Tammy Bruce, Curtis Sliwa, Don Imus, and Bruce Cunningham.
Rush is, of course, the greatest, but he has one big glaring issue as I see it and at times, it gets old.
Some of them have horrific lisps, some live decadent lifestyles, some have good reason to dislike McCain and one appears to have defected to Fox News.

Hannity has no show prep. He repeats himself everyday. If you tune in once a month, he will be saying the same thing you heard 30 days before.
Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn.... It isn’t about sex. Rush says those things to marginalize liberal women. Whether or not it is effective or even useful is arguable.

Sean kills me with his “Your a great American!” schtick. How does he know if the caller is a great American or not???
The Great American thing is just to help get the caller to the subject. The key here is his show is mostly callers. He just can’t carry the show by himself.
Sean Hannity is a motor mouth. Count how long the caller gets to talk and how long Sean talks. The caller barely gets started when Sean butts in and rants for a few minutes then goes to the next caller or a break. I just can’t listen to him.
i kinda have to agree - but i credit him with getting the right reverend wright story out - so i cut his repetition some slack
i am tired of hearing about the ‘chevy tahoe sitting in my driveway’ though
levin is my favorite - he says what others are won't because they buy into the politically correct intimidation tactics

Hey, I lavish praise on Rush but I think he’s no expert on male/female relationships.
And I present very good examples, I argue.
He even answered my email as I quote in the post.
Valerie Plame being a babe says it all.
Mark Levin talks to liberals just like me. Mark is a real man.
I’m sorry but I have heard both Levin and Cunningham call Barack by the middle name of Milhaus.
I first heard it from Cunningham but I’ll admit I don’t know who said it first.
But yes, Levin calls Barack “Milhaus” and he might well have used it first. It’s possible they BOTH came up with the idea, it’s not exactly the most original thought on the planet although it IS funny.
LOL. She claims to know the opposite sex, then proceeds to all lathered up concerning Rush's obvious tongue-in-cheek comments regarding Phlame, etc.

I think Rush has serious issues with women but I sure lavished praise on the man in this post.

True. He’s like a broken record. Repeats himself over and over ad nauseam. He’s way over exposed.
I like Sean but know exactly what you mean. He has a set number of memorized thought-clusters that almost sound pre-recorded. I find myself saying his little set-pieces along with him just to stay awake.
If you actually listened to Rush even occasionally, you would know he admits to saying these things to just get under the skin of the liberal women. He’s spent a lot of time admitting that and goes into detail as to why he does it. Your making snide little comments about Rush’s sex life when you don’t even bother to listen to the show says a lot more about you than it says about Rush.
His comments were NOT tongue-in-cheek as I see it. I could hear parts of him hardening on the air.
But so what? As I write in my post, Rush is a guy and he's certainly allowed to think a woman is a babe.
By me, Val Plame is a vapid, evil female. By Rush, she is a babe. Says something about his problems with women as I see it.
Again, there is none better than Rush and I include an email response of apology I got back from Rush. The guy is righ 98.5 percent of the time.
The only time he gets it wrong is any time he mentions women. Which isn't all that often, thank goodness.
I knew I was going to get flack with my post but I said, over and over and with great flattery, there's none better than Rush.
He's not perfect. Nobody is.
With regards to Hannity.....Me, too. I try so many times to listen, but can’t. There are more commercials, it seems, than others, and I truly have heard him say it all before. I also do NOT like the way he slurps up to Lieberman time and time again.
It’s clear Rush feels women are manipulative and controlling.
His experience is validated by millions of males.
A male who is married doesn’t mean he knows anything about women or marriage Could mean he just gave up.
Remember the old joke..why do men die sooner than women? To get away from their wives.

I listen to Rush every day. He’s NOT perfect, but pretty close.

All you laid out were comments he's made that reveal a certain bitterness he may harbor concerning the opposite sex.
Much like the bitterness towards males you implied in your blog, only with more humor.
All I can say is I hope Rush finds, or has found, someone to love him and keep him company and maybe take away some of his bitterness.
Rush does not only insult LIBERAL women at times. I am conservative and, well Rush apologized to me via email because at times he overdoes it.
I'm not at all sure why I can't have this opinion and this with a missive that flattered him greatly.

I love Rush. I can sense a bitterness towards women from time to time. It’s okay. Men who have been hurt by women often display such bitterness and I daresay women hurt by men do the same thing.
But you never hear Laura Ingraham bashing men all over the place, saying men don’t need brains if they’re good looking, calling a rather dastardly dude a “babe”, blaming wrong-headed actions by female politicians on their husbands.
It comes out on his show and at times I think it’s ugly.
He’s not perfect.
I’d leave my husband in a minute if Rush asked but that’s a smile.
I have no bitterness toward males, that’s just knee-jerk.
Don’s attack me. I have a right to an opinion and I will always love Rush.
Rush vocalizes what males say when not being spied on by wives and girl friends. He’s a member of the He Man Woman Haters Club. He has paid full price for his membership.

Incidentally, whether intentional or not, do you not think some of the characterizations you made of males in your blog were demeaning? Just curious...
I liked Hannity’s nightly show better when he occasionally had Sara Evans on, as well as other CW singers and bands. The show has gotten way too predictable now...

you refer to characterizations of males as demeaning in my Blog. If something I wrote struck you that way than I guess I did but these things tend to affect us all in different ways.
I love men, God bless me. Always have, and always will. But I know when they’ve got a king-sized case of women-hatred. Females do too. It’s not rocket science.
I complained that Rush’s little teeny bit of bitterness at women tends to leak through the show.
Your mileage might vary but please don’t accuse me of never listening to the show and maybe avoid the nasty name calling.

I've known women like you - they are bad news losers, very transparent and so incredibly selfish. At their core, they are always liberals who refuse to accept there is right and wrong - they just do what feels good.

It says that Rush thinks she is good looking. Beyond that it says nothing at all. I'm sure plenty of conservative female FReepers think George Clooney is a "babe," though his politics nauseates them.
And what happened to Hugh Hewitt? Rush may be the best one man show, but Hewitt has the best guests, and anyone can listen to the Hewitt shows without ads, online, for free.

Perhaps you are taking your talk show hosts too seriously. It is entertainment after all. However, I agree that WABC streaming is awful. Get yourself a Sangean Internet radio and all will be fine for streaming any radio station that streams in the country.
