Contrary to speculation that an electronic control device could induce ventricular fibrillation, the rhythm found in alleged arrest-related deaths was primarily asystole which is associated with drug overdoses and cannot be induced with electrical stimulation; and,
Real time ultrasound showed that even when electronic control device probes are placed across the heart, the ECD electrical pulses have no effect on the human heart. This is in contrast with the result occasionally seen in research using small pigs, which have important physiological differences that make their cardiovascular system significantly more sensitive to electricity than in humans.

In my drinking criminal days I was never tasered, shot, or otherwise roughly treated. There’s something to be said for cooperation.

I was a student of the watch and learn school.
One of my friends was picked up for drunk driving and threatened to kick the cop’s butt. My friend has false teeth in the front these days.

It appears that the test inclusive did they test everybody on the planet, because any test on live subjects is assumptive that most will not be effected by the taser.
It is no different than food many can eat peanuts a few can die from them, or medication penicillin is a wonder drug for most of the world and some can die.
Just because a few that were tested had no visible effect does not make putting an electrical charge into someones body as harmless as petting puppies.

I am no doctor.. but surly you understand that there is a difference between a substance absorbed in the bloodstream.. like the food alergy you described — in addition there is very predictable/common element to every person who has died after being tased and that is there is some other medical condition usually over on cocaine or other drugs which would have resulted in their death whether they were tased or not... in fact in many cases the taser may actually save their life — if they can be subdued quick enough for the medical staff to do their thing.....

What you stated sounds reasonable; but it is assumed they would have died otherwise, two extra variables have been added to the person that was high on some drug.
1: An authority was involved, and most people whether high on drugs or not when in a situation that they will be detained raises their adrenalin which would put more pressure upon their heart
2: An outside electrical impulse was added to the suspects body.
3: A hyped up person is most likely to be sweaty which will lower their resistance to electrical current flow amperage is inversely proprotional to resistance, meaning the more moisture upon the skin lower resistance higher amperage flow.
Now I am not a doctor but I was an electrician and I was taught that a good electrician uses only one hand as to not create a circuit through the heart.
The amount of electrical current (amperage) through the heart that will kill a person is very low around .5 milliamps .
I am for protecting yourself from bad people I just am not sure that the government should be able to pull a taser because they have one.
Then again I am not so sure that the police are actually protecting and serving.

One huge factor that is missing in this dialogue.. as a law enforcement officer who carries and uses a TASER I can assure you that the folks we deal with are more compliant when a TASER is pointed at them than they are when I point a pistol at them... they KNOW that I will not shoot them unless they are a imminent threat to my life or someone else.... however when I point a TASER at them they KNOW that if they are not copliant they WILL feel it... most of the time when you pull a TASER on someone they are immediately and fully complinat which is the INTENDED result.. if they are not than the situation IS far more dangerous and likely to result in me or someone else getting hurt.... therefore the situation as now escalated to where deployment of the TASER is appropriate..
Does this help?
