A report broke today that one of Sen. Hillary Clinton's top financial supporters offered $1 million to the Young Democrats of America during a phone conversation in which he pressed the organization's two undecided superdelegates to endorse Clinton. Both have since endorsed Obama.
The offer apparently came from billionaire Haim Saban. He has denied the allegations but four independent sources said that just before the North Carolina and Indiana primaries, Saban called YDA President David Hardt and offered what was perceived as a lucrative proposal: $1 million would be made available for the group if Hardt and the organization's other uncommitted superdelegate backed Clinton.
The Young Democrats of America group apparently became extremely worried after the offer that Saban, a powerful person in Democratic circles, would cause longterm damage to them if they went against him. Saban has donated more money to candidates over the last ten years than anyone else in America.
Clinton, meanwhile, is falling further and further behind rival Barack Obama in the superdelegate tally daily after leading by over 100 late last year.
Better check George Soros's books as well.
All that Power Rangers merchandise, for this...
He forgot the hookers..... if he had just sent the YDA swarms of hookers then he might have pulled it off.
LOL, what’s next? Please Hillary, finish off the Democrat party.
Welcome to Free Republic.
He's a Power Ranger.
I just forwarded the website info the the group. It would seem that they may have some difficulty with life insurance.
“That is why we specialize in tough, hard-to-insure cases and it is our priority to make your life insurance application a smooth, easy and successful one, regardless of your health status.”
When someone stands in the way of Hillary, getting a policy with be next to impossible.
Buying votes at $500,000 a whack.
That’s not your granddad’s Democrat Party!
And this open bribery for super delegate votes is not against Democrat Party rules. Incredible!
I reckon the MSM will go {{{crickets}}} over this story.
