Why I Will Not Support McCain
America Talks ^ | 5/11/08 | David Zublick

Posted on 05/11/2008 10:34:05 AM PDT by AmericaTalks

If I had any doubts about whether to vote for John McCain in this year's presidential election, those doubts were laid to rest this past week when McCain sat down for an interview with Fox News host Bill O'Reilly. McCain solidified for me the fact that he is not a true conservative and not worthy of my support.

McCain proved that on some of the most crucial issues, he will let down a base of constituents that are looking for answers.

O'Reilly addressed the question of rising gasoline prices. Anyone with a brain in their head knows that only two things will help this nation break free of its dependence on foreign oil; drilling domestically while developing alternative fuel sources. But McCain is an environmentalist wacko who is opposed to tapping the supply of oil in this country because he wants to keep the land pristine. Utter nonsense.

On the use of waterboarding suspected terrorists for the purpose of gaining vital knowledge which would help prevent an attack on our soil, McCain is also opposed. Waterboarding has been successful in the past. It should not be discarded as a valuable tool in the war on radical Islam. As a matter of fact, other forms of torture should also be used. After all, these maggots are not part of an army. They are enemy combatants and are not covered by the Geneva convention.

The issue of illegal immigration was also covered in the interview, and once again McCain proved he's a one-worlder like George W. Bush who feels we should give amnesty to those who have broken the law to get into this country.

These things I just cannot abide.

We need a president who will work to round up the approximately 30 million illegals living here and ship their asses out. We need a president who will use whatever methods it takes to protect this nation from another terrorist attack, and we need a president who will break us free from the stronghold of OPEC by drilling in ANWR, North Dakota, and wherever else there is oil domestically.

John McCain is not that candidate, and I will not vote for him in November.

So then you'll sit this one out and let either Obama or Hillary walk away with the presidency?

Good thinking, that.

Great, don’t support McCain. And keep your checkbook handy, those higher taxes, and reparations for slavery will be paid soon after President Obama is sworn in. You should enjoy seeing America align itself with Syria, and Iran as our closest allies.

The political process is broken. McCain is as good as it’s going to get for a long time coming.

I’ve heard the strategy: “He’s the least of the evils, so vote for him.” Sorry. The Repubs better find an excuse to eliminate this clown and get a real candidate. Don’t worry, we conservatives are not children like the lefties. We won’t riot. We’ll just vote... instead of sitting this out. I’ll put in simple words so that our Club Repubs can understand: “THROW THE BUM OUT AND GET A REAL CONSERVATIVE IN THERE! NOW!”

McCain can be trusted on the war and better on taxes and judges than Obama. I don't trust him very much. But I don't trust Obama or racist Michelle, the power behind the throne, at all.

I'll take my chances with McCain. I think we can oppose him more effectively. That's the key to thinking about the next president. I think Obama will be even more destructive and much harder to oppose. Please reconsider.

From my observation McCrazy has gotten completely off the Straight Talk Express and now seems to believe that flagrant and outright lying to his constituents, his Party, and to whomever he wants is totally acceptable because “it’s only politics”.

The man is of very bad character. I’d never vote for him.

If McCain wants my vote he knows how to get it.

We need to all trust in God to bring our country thru this.

Good thinking, that.

Alrighty, just what would you suggest? Because we can have $5.00 gallon gas, 35 million "amnesty-Americans" that will promptly vote Democrat anyway, a government screwed health-care system, a empowered radical Islam faction, etc, from a Republican President or we can have all that loveliness from a Democrat President.

The thing is this. All three "candidates" are going to shoot for amnesty. As soon as that occurs two things will happen. Chain migration and amnesty-Americans voting for Democrats.

So, all this noise about Supreme Court appointments and taxes and rah, rah, rah, doesn't mean anything, it is going to happen.

I suggest you start getting ready for what will result.

Regardless of which of the three is elected, America's slide into disaster is accelerating.

The question is not where we will end up or how bad it will be, but who got us there.

If McCain succeeds, it will be the Conservative Republican Party who's policy guided America into the final disaster.

Mean Conservative Republicans who forced the oppressed heroic Muslim freedom fighters to detonate plutonium weapons in major American cities to demonstrate their commitment to freedom and honor, and awaken the ignorant population to the plight of the people oppressed by America all over the world.

The choice is between being very uncomfortable and an intolerable situation. It's going to take a lot of maturity and willpower for conservatives to vote for McCain but we're going to have to find a way.

We survived Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton. If we can survive those two we can survive Osama Obama. The question is, could the GOP survive four years of McCrazy? I am afraid McCain would do to the GOP what Carter did to the democrats.
As long as we keep electing liberals just because they an R behind their name, they will never change. Maybe it will take an Obama to wake America up.
