Any decent student of history knows that a central belief of those attempting to defend the evil of slavery was their continued refusal to admit that African-Americans were human beings worthy of respect, dignity and all the rights granted to others under the Constitution.
In every sense of the word, slaves were treated like property to be used and discarded at the whim and convenience of their so-called owners. This is why many of these owners were so passionately against the abolition of slavery. Such anti-slavery efforts were a direct attack on their lifestyles and perceived rights of controlling what they felt privileged to control.
The American slavery of blacks was nothing short of a social, cultural and philosophical genocide of an entire race, attempting in every way but physically, and even at times that as well, to destroy their sense of dignity, self-respect and right to be heard.
One would imagine that any African-American with any knowledge of his or her races historical experiences would stand firmly against abortion as simply being a reincarnation of the same evil that attempted to depict slavery as an acceptable thing. Well, on that count, one would have to indeed use ones imagination because the majority of so-called black leaders and the major black civil rights groups, led by the NAACP, are nothing but shills for the Democratic Party and liberals.

Oh, and don’t forget PROFESSIONAL VICTIMIZATION GROUP. Advocates for race-baiters like Jackson and Sharpton.
“One would imagine that any African-American with any knowledge of his or her races historical experiences would stand firmly against abortion...”
figure 35 millions African-Americans total in the USA
(after deducting immigrants from the Caribbean and Africa, and their first-generation descendants, who come from a totally different culture)
factor in 17 million abortions in the black community
(assume 52 million abortions in the last 30 years, with at least 1/3 of them in the black community; probably more)
conclusion: no group has ever tried more fervently to annihilate itself.
(ALL the black caucus fervently support abortion; the black community is unable—unwilling—to elect a SINGLE representative at any level of government who questions abortion)
2nd conclusion : the black leadership—specifically including the leadership of the black church (which seems content to praise Jesus on Sunday and vote for abortion and gay rights on Tuesday)—is utterly useless.
"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well."
-- Booker T. Washington (1911)
