Three females in my surround suffered serious man trouble over the holidays. It was three-year-old Kaitlyn who temporarily stopped the heartbreak and taught us all the joy of Christmas through a child's eyes.
Also, a TV review of "First Daughter", a cotton candy confection of a movie featuring Tom Cruise's new love, Katie Holmes.

My daughter came over to visit with us while I was recuperating from knee surgery." We watched 'First Daughter,' and all three of us, including a male, liked the movie a lot. It's a very nice movie with fairy tale qualities. I recommend it, and I bought it.
True. "Chasing Liberty," with Mandy Moore, is almost the identical movie, but shot in Europe....
The only problem I had with both of them is the presidential father's having no problem with their 18-yo daughters hooking up with what in real life would be much older secret service agents.
Just another example of the old Hollywood "suspension of age differences" method.
