The one part I do disagree with is I don't take it for granted at all that economic conservatives have been losing more than they have won.
thanks for the heads up. btw, when is constituent dynamics finally going to release their results in IN. One other gripe, I wish they had chosen their districts better. They did a decent job, but they clearly did not pick the 30 most competitive seats.
Dunno. Although their polling is probably fine, polls done right now should be more reliable than those done the week before Labor Day when everyone is on vacation, so I wish they would have done all of their surveys now.
Mason-Dixon is as good as it gets, so this is probably around a 4 point race right now. Still, I think that Allen is at his nadir right now, and that the macaca comment won't define him on Election Day.
Regarding Constituent Dynamics, do we know why they used the word "interactive" to describe their polls? That's a huge red flag. Some of their results were completely out of line with what prior polls (taken during more favorable Dem environments) had shown. I predict that those polls won't "age well."
Oops, the links went bad.

It is an interesting article. Thanks. The dirty little secret is that the array of policy options out there is rather limited, practically speaking. Voters want a social safety net, and its expensive. The parties pretend to be more different than they really are, when it comes to what they do, as opposed to what they say.
Casey stunk up the place on Meet The Press.
The morons like Charlie Cook and Chris Matthews viewed Casey's performance as a wash.
