DUmmie FUnnies 09-06-06 ("The answers to many of our questions can be found in the movie 'V'")
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | September 6, 2006 | DUmmies, KOmmies, and PJ-Comix

Posted on 09/06/2006 6:58:04 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

Yeah, yeah. I know. I've already posted a couple of other DUmmie FUnnies editions in the past few weeks on the subject of V For Vendetta which you can read HERE and HERE. However, the laughable obsession of the Left over this movie seems to be continuing unabated. And now, in addition to the DUmmies, we also have the Daily Kos KOmmies engaging in Vendetta fantasies as we shall see. For those of you unfamiliar with this fantasy flick, it is based on a graphic comix novel of the same name. In the movie, Britain is under the fascistic rule of High Chancellor Adam Sutler (read "Adolf Hitler"). Sutler and his cronies are presented with the subtlety of a sledge hammer as Snidely Whiplash type villains. Sutler never speaks normally. He constantly snarls, exposing his evil yellow teeth. I'm only surprised that the filmmakers did not put horns on his head with a caption over him that said "Hiss! Boo!" Actually they in effect did this with their one-dimensional portrayals of the bad guys. Oh, and just so you know that Sutler was really REALLY bad, the movie made sure to mention that Sutler was a member of the (GASP!) Conservative Party. Opposing the evil fascist British government is V who always wears a Guy Fawkes mask and costume. When he is not quoting Shakespeare to impress chicks, V is committing acts of terrorism against the government. And this is why the leftists LOVE V For Vendetta. Because it justifies committing terrorist acts and validates their fantasy that we are living under an EVIL fascistic Bush Regime that must be opposed at all costs. Therefore I am recommending this movie both for the inadvertent laughs it presents (such as a character being executed for keeping a forbidden copy of the Koran hidden away) and the fact that it is an entertaining guide into the simplistic mindset of the left. If you object to paying for this movie, then I recommend you check it out from your local library (I saw it at a free showing). Since both the DUmmies and KOmmies are utterly obsessed with this movie, we shall take a look at two threads on this topic. The first is a DUmmie THREAD titled, "The answers to many of our questions can be found in the movie 'V'" and the second is this KOmmie THREAD titled, "A Dark Future, and Valerie's Tale (V for Vendetta)." So let us now don our Guy Fawkes mask and enter the V For Vendetta fantasy world of the Left in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, wondering which passages of Shakespeare he can recite to score with Petra Verkaik, is in the [brackets]:

The answers to many of our questions can be found in the movie "V"

[Toss away all the history books. Our political inspriration will now come from a movie based on a graphic comix novel.]

V for Vendetta, the much hyped futuristic look at the bleak futures of England and America under the current trends, is all it is made out to be and more. I've read the hype, and I finally viewed it, and my mind is blown.

[A DUmmie's eyes are opened on the political road to Damascus by a fantasy flick.]

Is this movie bold or what? Does it lay it down in the dirt like no other movie? Or am I being too easy on it? Is it just an overblown "Batman" on acid?

[The latter is a more accurate description but at least "Batman" didn't have absurd political pretensions.]

The fictional main character answers many of the questions I see posted here often, and wheather I like to admit it or right, the movie made a lot of sense, especially the comparisons with bushco and the neo cons.

[The movie makes sense but ONLY if you live in the DUmmie fantasy world.]

I highly recommend it for those who haven't checked it out yet, its not the new liberal bible by any means, but it does address many of the greatest threats to the world posed by fascism left unfettered.

[You're wrong. It has become the new liberal bible. More and more dopey leftists who already live in a dream world are flocking to this flick and derive dopey inspiration from it. Watch for more and more loonies to be walking around in Guy Fawkes Halloween costumes before Halloween and after Halloween, especially on November 5. Remember, remember, the fifth of November.]

I believe it deserves at least as much praise and perusal DU gave Michael Moore's political film F9-11. Its entertaining and artistic, simple, yet deep at the same time. I suggest it as a learning tool for our cause, not for it's violence, but for it's message, we should not fear our government, it should fear we, the people.

[It won't surprise me a bit if some loony left college professor bases his poly sci course on V For Vendetta in the near future. And now on to the V fantasies of your fellow DUmmies...]

I watched it last weekend. and marvelled at some of the parallels to today. The whole politics of fear campaign: the offer-up-your-liberties-so-we-can protect-you mentality. Scary shit.

[Be sure to hide away your secret copy of the Koran or you WILL be executed.]

It was written by a Brit under Thatcher's rule

[You mean during the EVIL Thatcher regime when people were hauled away to detention centers never to be seen again. Or at least that is the way it plays in your hyperactive imagination.]

Bullocks! That's what we need to learn to say. We need to have more people wake up and understand that we don't have to swallow the BS. Great movie. We sat stunned for a while. Loved the Stones tune over the closing credits.

[And you were Stoned by the time the closing credits came up.]

The Stones made it real. Since that song is already part of my head. The Stones, and rock 'n roll, are prophetic.

[Yeah. The movie needed that special Stones touch to give it credibility.]

This movie visceraly depicts just exacly where all of this fear, fascism and religious fundamentalism is leading us!Hopefuly enough people will wake up in time to stop these evil scum from destroying our country and the rest of the world!

[Maybe you should wear your Guy Fawkes costume when you vote this year.]

V for Vendetta is currently my favorite movie. I have watched it at least 6 times now and it will remain one of my all time favorites. It is a powerful and stirring movie that is also entertaining. It has many messages, particularly how a nation may degenerate into what Britain had become in the movie and a clear warning to us. I loved the ending and was put to mind in one sense of the ending of The Return of the King at the final battle scene after the ring had been destroyed. For those who have not yet watched V for Vendetta, I highly recommend seeing it and more than once.

[Will Frodo be your date when you watch it for the 7th time?]

Rented it this week.. and really lays it all out - but - Would the people truly be inspired enough to take to the streets? Or would they stay home and drink beer, like our current situation.

[Sorry. The DUmmies will opt for beer and pizza as usual. DUAC! DUAC!]

V gave them incentive to hit the streets with the distribution of the masks. It was one of the more brilliant ploys in the film.

[So the DUmmies will refuse to go out into the streets to bring down the EVIL Bush regime unless Guy Fawkes masks are fedexed to them?]

I was also wondering, since I usually consider myself somewhat of a pacifist--are we now nearing a point where violence might be the last resort?

[Quite a few DUmmies look upon violence as a FIRST resort.]

Violence should ALWAYS be the last resort -- the question is, are we approaching that last resort? Let's see what Diebold has to say about it in November. BTW, the 5th of November is a Sunday - election day would be the 7th, this year.

[And THIS is why the leftist fantasies about V For Vendetta should be constantly monitored. They are actually using this flick as an excuse to commit violence in the near future.]

V ROCKS and is the MUST SEE movie of the year! Especially if you really want to understand what the U.S. government has in store for all of us...

[A DUmmie who believes that the new Walmarts being constructed are really detention centers to which they will soon be sent.]

I read Orwell in the 70s and learned a lot about Nazi Germany through my love of reading-mainly novels and some history/biographies-where many of the books were set in that time and place.

[A moron DUmmie too DUmb to realize that Orwell was satirizing BOLSHEVIK Russia.]

violence begets violence. V is coming sadly enough, can't be stopped.

[That sounds like a threat. Calling Agent Mike! And now on to the KOmmie THREAD...]

My take is that long before Adam Sutler showed up, that Britain was a terrified state on a perpetual war footing; there is an account by a prisoner named Valerie that dates her own life as an actor (and lesbian; it's important to the tale), mentioning landing a big role for a film in 2015, then spending several years happy years with Ruth (I think that was the name) so it was 2018 when the persecutions began in earnest in the aftermath of (I would guess) the Sudan War and an uptick in terrorist bombings in Britain proper.

[Yeah, some government is going to take the time and effort to imprison some chick for being a lesbian. To believe this you must also believe that the same government would execute a guy for keeping a secret copy of the Koran hidden away. Well, since this flick also presented that as fact, I guess it just makes sense you can believe the pointless lesbian harassment routine.]

This is when an opportunistic Undersecretary of Defense Sutler rose to the top tier of the Conservative Party, his zealous, reactionary and violent brand of Christianity riding the tide with him. Not only were Muslims targeted and deported, then 'resettled', so was anybody who was not first British, then English, for Adam Sutler was not in the least interested in there being a United Kingdom; his country was England.

[And they make sure you know that EVIL Adam Sutler is a member of the Conservative Party.]

Some time afterward, perhaps two years, let's call it 2020, the Saint Mary's Virus attacks occurred, killing over 100,000 people in Britain alone. Sutler swept to power in convincing fashion; a chart is flashed up, suggested that his party picked up well over 90% of the vote. Conveniently enough, a pharmaceutical company with ties to the Tories whipped out a cure within a month. A Godsend, no less! A flurry of enabling acts gave Sutler immense powers, created his permanent High Chancellor status, and suddenly the country was expected to be silent and loyal and obedient... and a vast police apparatus was set up to make sure things stayed that way, and the herd purified through frequent cullings.

[They only got 90% of the vote because of the Diebold machines. Where's RFK Jr. with his voting conspiracy theories when we need him?]

Without a doubt, the keystone address in the entire movie is Valerie's account of life as an emerging, then fully out and proud lesbian, the relatively minor hardships of falling in and out of young love and rejection by her parents for the crime of coming out with the truth about herself, then the Fingermen, as the operatives of the new police state were called, black-bagging both her partner, Ruth, and herself shortly thereafter. And what horrid treason had the pair of lovers committed? They were different, as were perhaps many millions of other former Britons, now Resettled Persons, whatever that meant. It meant one thing for certain: they were never seen again, and no one dared speak of them ever again.

[Unlike what is usually the case in real life, Valerie and Ruth were hot looking lesbians. Are you sure the Fingermen didn't resettle them on the Howard Stern show?]

Valerie is condemned for the crime of being different and undesirable, though she is held for quite some time as a condemned lesbian. She writes of her lie on toilet paper; Evy receives the thin parchments, one ply at a time, on a ruse. However, it turns out that V had received Valerie's tale in this fashion for true.

[I once knew a weirdo named Melvin who wrote a sci-fi novel on a roll of toilet paper. But let us now return to this KOmmie's movie review...]

I flat out wept toward the end of this section of the movie, when the lines were read in Valerie's voice "I do not know who you are, and I will probably never live to see you, but know this...that I love you."

[I'd be weeping if Petra Verkaik sent me that message...and that was all I was going to get from her. And since the rest of your review bores the crap out of me, let's move on to the comments of your fellow KOmmies...]

Absolutely fantastic movie. I'm thinking about writing my own diary about it as well.

[Great! The DUmmie FUnnies is always scouting for Leftist Laughs.]

I have a hard time thinking of better movies than this. I guess my two other nominees for Best Movie Ever would be Apocalypse Down and the English Patient--I'm probably forgetting a few. But the timeliness of "V" eclipses both of those.

[It even eclipses Citizen Kane and Casablanca.

My other fave for this year is "Batman Begins"

[A movie much more grounded in reality than V.]

Saw the movie last weekend, now I know what to wear on Halloween.

[Check the Dollar Stores for the Guy Fawkes mask. Guy Fawkes capes sell separately.]

Cheney mask, prison orange and handcuffs and shackles.

[More likely Armitage mask, prison orange and handcuffs and shackles.]

If I have to make one, it may end up looking like Richard Chamberlain....has anyone seen them for sale anywhere ?

[If you can't find a Guy Fawkes mask then just buy a Richard Chamberlain mask.]

I'm thinking of buying a halloween V mask and carrying it on election day!

[Don't forget to cast your vote on a Diebold machine wearing that dopey costume.]

If you want to get up to speed on "V For Vendetta," check your local library for the DVD so you won't have to spend money on it. You will find a lot of unintentional laughs in this flick plus it will provide a roadmap as to where the leftist mindset is at. Oh, and expect to see a plethora of Guy Fawkes costumes at lefting demonstrations in the near future.

Let me know if you want on the DUmmie FUnnies PING List.

Actually, they drink wine coolers, though Miller is making a play for them by sponsoring various pro-invasion activities.

Oh, and top-10.

I once saw "my future" in the original Star Wars movie. However I was only 11 or 12 years old.

On this, I agree. These two pieces of outlandish fiction are deserving of equal merit and attention.
