Probably because many of the substance-challenged among you will think the occasion is "Get Fawked" Day...
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)
LonePalm, le Républicain du verre cassé (The Broken Glass Republican)
Waiiiit! So the British considered dumping tea in a harbor to be a violent and intimidating activity?
Wow
as well as the less out-and-out GOP partisans such as Chris Matthews
ROFLMAO He is a closet something but GOP partisan is not one of them LOL LOL
or "V for valium"
These idiots do know that Guy Falkes was trying to subordinate his country to a different religious group, right? Kinda like how they whine that we call them Islam enablers.
Yes. Do you actually have any rational "thoughts"?
And "T for Thorazine"
LOL! You remind me of the squire of gothos in the original Star trek!
"England considered terrorist acts (dumping tea in the harbor, for example) "
Yes, dumping tea sent shivers of terror throughout England. /sarc
"the reality of the situation is we represent mainstream America. "
Now, that is the funniest statement of them all. LOL!
"The DUmmies have fantasized themselves in the masked hero's role in opposing that regime"
Uhhhhh....
Wasn't Guy Fawkes the guy that was eventually done in by his own ego, and inability to control his hatred??????
Sounds like an analogy that truly FITS for these clowns....
57 1/2!
REMEMBER, Remember, remember, remember, remember, the 5th of November..
By that logic our founding fathers were terrorists. Our founding fathers used what England considered terrorist acts (dumping tea in the harbor, for example) in the lead-up to the American Revolution in order to break the chains of oppression.
Lets see here, on the one hand, someone dumps tea into a harbor.. On the other hand, someone incinerates innocent people, or cuts their heads off. You have to be really, REALLY insane to even remotely equate, by inference, those two types of individuals.
Good point. We can always expect them to say nasty things about us. They keep trying to make us into hippies, when the reality of the situation is we represent mainstream America.
ROFLMAO. Morons, the idiots think that just because someone shares an opinion about a specific question on an issue, that they are JUST LIKE THEM! Note to DUmmies, although "mainstream" America might agree with you on a few particulars, they are NOT LIKE YOU. For one, most of them hold steady jobs, and are not on psychopharmaceuticals.
When it comes to analogies from films, I always dug that scene in A Bug's Life with the grasshopper explaining the power of the masses.
That movie was all about oppressive taxation. The Grasshoppers were the Government, the ants were the people, and Flick, the hero, was the eccentric genius. The inventive one. The Industrialist, if you will. With his leadership, they threw off the shackles of oppressive taxation, and told the government to F-off.
how about... assembling with Lincoln masks? or Jefferson? or Washington? y'know, a founding fathers tribute...
I love it when liberals try to appropriate the Founders as their own. Washington and Lincoln would have literally LOCKED THE DUMMIES UP at a time like this. Jefferson, all he did was to be the first US President to attack the Islamic Fascists of the day.
" Not terrorism. The group of Catholics behind Guy Fawkes, who was a mercenary more than an ideolouge, planned on destroying the entire English government in one fell swoop..."
OK, let me get this straight.
According to DUmmies:
Boston tea party = Terrorist activity.
Mass murder of the entire English government = NOT terrorism.
And I'm supposed to somehow trust democrats with National Security?
If it smells like a hippie, complains like a hippie, and protests like a hippie... well, you know the rest.. Oh, and DUmbass, BTW, 'mainstream America' uses deodorant, neo-hippies don't..
They burn 'scarecrows' made up like Fawkes.
"D for DUmmie"
