It appears that Democrat dominance of Louisiana and perhaps even New Orleans will end shortly. The silver lining in the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
David Vitter became the first Republican since Reconstruction to take a United States Senate in 2004.
Mary Landrieu may be the last Democrat to represent Louisiana in the Senate for quite a while, when her term ends in 2006.
And Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco, the latest in a long line of Democrat Louisiana Governors, would be well advised to follow Democrat President Lyndon Johnson's example and not seek reelection.
The vast majority of Democrats fit nicely into one of four categories: Damocrat, Dimocrat, Domocrat and Dumocrat.
At the top are the Domocrats and the Damocrats. The few. And the haughty.
At the bottom are the Dimocrats and the Dumocrats. The many. And it's not always easy to tell a Dimocrat from a Dumocrat.
A Dumocrat is the core of the Democrat vote. Too dumb to be educable. What is sometimes called a yellow dog Democrat. Which is very unfair to yellow dogs. A reflexive Democrat vote often activated by phony and scurrilous charges that Republicans hate poor people and are racists who burn black churches to kill black children, preferably young girls, or celebrate the murders of innocent black men.
A Dimocrat sees the light, dimly. BUT, has the potential to follow it and become a Republican.
A Domocrat is a Democrat who dominates, or leads, other Democrats, and controls government where Democrats are in power.
In Lousiana, there is a Domocrat family, the Landrieus of Louisiana. Sort of like...."

Well, to crack a joke... they always did say the south will rise again...
Perhapse heart compassion and the will of God will guide those of assistance down there to help clean up the mess, and when it comes to re-building once the Democrats are finished with lip service & their yellow-dog style or Domocratic yapping of irrelevent non-progressive rhetoric that will only show where we were, and where they were with announcements.
Clearly these storms, for good American clear thinking people will point out who is who.
