I got it back in 2000, 2004, and I STILL get it. I voted for the best candidate, both times. Do any of YOU sore losers get it that he's doing/done everything in his power to help the hurricane victims? No, because you don't want to believe that. Neither Gore nor Kerry could have done as much.
Yup...The democratic Governor that refused FEMA help the Friday before the storm hit was not at fault....was she now. The incompetent Mayor that had about 200+ buses at his disposal was more interested in trying to handle a problem that was way over his head, people died because the local gov has to request federal help first. The fed gov can not just move in and take over the local/state gov has to request it first Einstein...but you lay no responibility on those that didn't follow thir own plan.
You liberals are all a like, no vision, no plan, no committment and no responibility. There will be an indepth investigation and the truth shall emerge...you liberals won't like it because it will be the truth and the truth is something liberals always run from or try to blame others for.

The federal government cannot legally step in and take over. The help must be requested by the state and local authorities.
The state and local authorities bungled the situation completely, and didn't authorize the federal government to help right away.
I think the federal government did pretty well considering how much they were impeded by the incompetence of the state and local officials.
