The month of August in Florida practically begs you to drink rum on the rocks or cold beer.

I have been to the Tampa area in August for a couple weeks. And I drank a lot of rum. There was a place out on the beach called RumRunners and there house drink was 4 different rums 2 shots of each. WHEW !!! 2 and the heat didn't mater anymore ;-) But the lightning was beautiful and the sharks. We were in a penthouse above the bay and both the sharks and lighting were easy to see...

I have noticed a severe lack of IHOPs. I have often been on a mad go take the family out on a Sunday morning for pancakes craze and was forced to settle for a Cracker Barrel!

Is there anything better than buttermilk pancakes and Boysenberry syrup? I think not!
