Over time, party's tend to change basic philosophy to be "in the mainstream", no other reason than to biuld their base to maintain power, we see it with Hillary moving to the right. I doubt she'll become a republican anytime in the near future, but some such as Jump'in Jim Jeffords have switched parties.

I'm a talk radio and right wing internet news kind of guy, once in a while I'll turn to CNN to see what the lib's are up too.

I just hope most people can see through the distortion. I thought it was funny when she called herself a conservative evangelical Christian while stumping in her home state.

Your bood sounds interesting. Is it something I would like?
I have instituted a new program which should provide more coverage and protection for the bookstores that may wish to order it.
Software or procedure?

I do listen to The Sage, Larry Elder once in a while. I think he too is a libertarian. I can relate.

At well over a hundred replies, I'm sure you've received an answer. However...
What does it mean to be a Republican?
No idea, deer.

Where would you place Reagan on the political spectrum? Most feel he was one of those far right wingers, ask any left winger.
Often you will find "moderates" call themselves Reagan Republicans or Reagan Democrats. Is it only popular to align yourself with a right winger to get votes? If so, there are more of us than is commonly known.
"In fact increasingly Republicans are becoming far more conservative." If this is true, why is Gingrich stumping with Hillary?
Republican's simply don't know how to control, the nuclear option should have been exercised.

"Over time, party's tend to change basic philosophy to be "in the mainstream"..." I can see how this would be generally true, but it doesn't seem to apply to a situation where America as a whole is becoming more conservative. For the Republicans in power to move left, when the country is moving right, simply illustrates that their perception is grossly flawed, (and that their timing is execrable).

So true. I voted for Pat Toomey in the primary. I guess it's poetic justice Bush endorsed Specter, and Specter voted against his judicial nominations.

I don't know and I don't care what a bood is. It's your book I find intriguing.

" Is it something I would like?"Here is a more direct link, which has additional information. You may also choose to examine my Home Page, which, once you wade through all the poetry, describes some of the action in the book.
I like to think that it has a wide appeal, but I should honestly warn you that it deals with a social situation, (which is very unlikely to occur), in a very "Adult" manner.

Pardon me. I was just checking a response to NicknamedBob on another point and noticed this one of yours.
My quest may help you or it might help me. I've been trying to recall a years ago politician's explanation of how the parties differed greatly around 40 or 50 years ago and that even, 'conservative' and 'liberal' had differing interpretations of the Constitution then than now. Are either of you knowledgeable enough to expand on that for me?
And, Bob, how do you know for sure that the country is becoming more conservative?

In the past half hour we have had one inch of ice on the ground from 1/4 to 1/2 inch hail, and at least another inch of water. Maybe the idea of a boat ramp off the back porch isn't so far-fetched after all.

I can't stand romance novels. Otherwise, I like some things in all genres. Your book seems very unique. I mean, I have heard of the concept before, but there are so many different ways it could be treated it's easy to be skeptical. Is there a place you'd prefer I buy it?
