There is that.
Do you like goats?
Do you have a tarp?

and a tarp wouldn't do a good enough job - the boards will need to be longer than my truck's bed.

. . .although there isn't the kind of bloody infighting that a troll might have hoped for . . . this thread hasn't been a total washout. We've learned about Hitchcock, Dali, and Theremins today. You said that so well that I had to quote most of it.
You also made it clear that throll threads would be a lot more fun if they went the sort of direction you describe and turned into interesting intellectual discussion rather than flame baiting.

You don't really want goats.
They are VERY destructive.

If your boards will be cut at some point prior to installation, consider cutting them when you pick them up. Just cut them a bit long prior to final cuts. (I would think you don't plan to have a six-foot span of unsupported shelf.)
Then use two sturdy garbage bags and some duct tape. Your "Home Improvement" store will likely have "Contractor Clean-Up" plastic garbage bags. They are very sturdy.
That will keep them dry during transport.

I'm well aware of that but I won't waste my vote on whatever socialistlite the Republicans offer up. Then why do you stay on a site that is called "Free Republic"? Seems like you might want to go to DU or another site that is made for liberals.

We have a demoncat party and a republican party.
Thats the only two options we are given.
It would be nice to have a third party called the conservitive party. But i wont hold my breath.

Not "demoncat", "demonRat," and we could use a load of parties, like UK has, but it won't happen here.

Hey, you do know FreeRepublic is not a blog, don't you?
You can reply on any thread you want to . . . including this one.

I don't see McCain getting past the primary so I don't see it becoming a issue. McCain has quite foolishly spent the past 5 years ticking off the party base. While that is a great way to win friends in the media it is a horrible way to try to get nominated.
Last time many that voted for him did not now him very well. As they get to know him better he has become the kerry of the party. To know him is not to love him.

the boards at installation-length will be longer than my truck bed. they will not be "unsupported" but they will HAVE to be long, required by the wall-mounting brackets I'll be using.
I have my eye on realtime satellite imagery of my local weather. as soon as I spot an hour-long gap, I'm rolling.

Bookfinders is a good find, thanks for that. Amazon had Dream of Venus for $15, Cuckolds for $5.95 and 50 Secrets for $9.71!!!! (Cuckolds and Secrets are a combo buy).

Oddly enough, some cars have more storage capacity than many trucks. If you have access to a car that has a "fold-down" rear seat, it may be possible to put a ten foot length in completely dry storage for transportation.
I've done this a few times, and a minivan usually can take some very long lengths of material, IF they can fit under the seats.

What about dogs? Dogs count as livestock around here. Three dogs, three goats, or three geese in residential. Or one of each.

I was checking out Bookfinder.com -- supposedly, they have
my book for as little as $9.93 but I think that illustrates the power of electronic linking more than actual availability.
Perhaps that will change come July. I have instituted a new program which should provide more coverage and protection for the bookstores that may wish to order it.

cats and dogs are considered "pets" rather than livestock, according to "city" ordinances.
I couldn't keep my mare on my in-town property, even if it was large enough (which it isn't).
you cannot even keep chickens in town.
silly, but that's the way it is.
