181,000 voters in U.S. elections were dead

More than 181,000 dead people were listed on the rolls in swing states for the Nov. 2 U.S. presidential election, the Chicago Tribune reported Sunday.

The Tribune reviewed voter data from New Mexico, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan and Minnesota. The newspaper found numerous errors in the integrity of voter rolls.

In addition to the registered deceased, thousands of voters were registered to vote in two locations, which could have allowed them to cast more than one ballot. More than 90,000 other voters in Ohio cast ballots without a valid presidential choice. Either they decided not to choose a candidate, the machine failed to register their choice, or they mistakenly voted for more than one candidate.

The FBI was investigating allegations that Republicans in Florida mounted a large-scale campaign to tamper with ballots.

Looks like Cook County, ILL, was back in the voting mood. "Daley's Legions" from the 50s and 60s arise!

Wonder why the Chicago Tribune decided not to investigate Chicago? After all its where the dead first came to life to vote!

Just like in the Tombstone Pizza commercial. What will you have on your Tombstone? In this case, to cast a vote from Beyond.

And which party did probably 99% of these dead people vote for (like I really have to ask).

The dems tamper; turn around and say "Look Ma, he's tampering with the ballots" and this has WHAT to do with dead voters (except a lame attempt to link Republicans to the dems' dirty deeds).

LOL

As to the two locations business, many of those were registered because they moved, I'm sure. As I pointed out before, when we moved to Arizona from Wisconsin in 1998, we registered here when we moved so I'm sure an analysis of the voting records in both places would have shown us registered in Wisconsin and Arizona. I presume that after we did not vote in the 2000 election our names were purged on the Wisconsin rolls.

It doesn't say that the dear and lately departed loved ones voted. It just says that they are registered. Someone is failing to clean up the rolls.

Or some Yankees are registered in two states. I'm sure NY and Florida are the joint residences of many of these.

Well, gosh and golly gee, we surely can't discriminate against the cemetery crowd. The dumbs have voted them for many, many years.

The integrity of our process has got to be dealt with before the next presidential election.

Doesn't it make you wonder how many dead voters (and out-of-staters) voted for Christine Gregoire in WA state?

The headline does not match the story.

The dead were registered. That certainly is not the same as voting.

When a dead person votes, it has little to do with where he moved to... someone who loves to add votes continued voting for the person (probably by absentee ballot because it is safer). We need prosecution here and we need it now. By the next election, people should know that you go away a long time for voter fraud.

Yep lots of invalid registrations when the keepers of the records don't do their job and purge the system on a regular basis...... Whose job is it to report the death of a registered voter or one that has moved to a new location?... I"m not sure how this should be handled but the certificate of death when issued could also trigger a notification to the registrar of voters it seems... Also each two years or so when the new registration cards are sent out they shouldn't be forwarded by the postal service but returned to the registrar and that name should be removed.

There is lots of work needed to be done to clean up our voting procedures, etc.

Your presumption is probably wrong. I'd bet you voted for sKerry in Wisconsin. Here in the Soviet of Washington our mainstream Republican secretary of state REFUSED to purge the motor voter inflated voter rolls in 2003! Now see what we're dealing with?

I'd contact your ex-local GOP in Wisconsin and ask them to check your voting status.

I never found any evidence that the FBI is conducting any investigation of Republicans in Florida other than in this article.

This kind of implies that the Dems want an investigation.

Florida tried to clean up their registration lists and got threatened with lawsuits by the Democrats.

Wouldn't want any felons to be purged from the voter rolls.

What has happened to the Dummocratic Party, They used to be so gooooood at this dead people voting thing! They keep blowing it. Ever since 2000 and Fla. when the FIX wasn't in and the ballot box didn't get stuffed with enough votes. Whoever was counting, must have went to Public School.

When I read this;

More than 181,000 dead people were listed on the rolls in swing states for the Nov. 2 U.S. presidential election, the Chicago Tribune reported Sunday.

I thought they were talking about Chitown alone. You know, in a year, there are roughly 975,000 deaths nationwide (most of them voters). Odd, that the article is so vague. It doesn't even mention if these dead people voted or not.

Send this thread back to the Editor...

And should be if they were removing those that were elgible again.... Wasn't there some sort of mix up with the State in getting the correct data about who had completed their sentences and who had not? I can't remember the details....

How Democrats Steal Elections - Top 10 Methods of Liberal Vote Fraud

1. Over-Voting. In Democrat strongholds like St. Louis, Philadelphia and Detroit, some precincts had 100% of their registered voters voting, with 99% of the ballots going to Gore. Clearly, multiple voting resulted in extra tallies for Gore in the 2000 election. (New York Post, 12/09/00).

2. Dead Voters. This classic Democratic method of vote fraud goes all the way back to 1960 in Chicago and Dallas. The 2000 election was no exception. In Miami-Dade County, for example, some of the 144 ineligible votes (those which officials actually admitted to) were cast by dead people, including a Haitian-American who's been deceased since 1977 (Miami-Herald, 12/24/00).

3. Mystery Voters. These "voters" cast votes anyway but are not even registered to vote. In heavily Democratic Broward County, for example, more than 400 ballots were cast by non-registered voters. (Miami-Herald 1/09/01)

4. Military ballots. Many of these votes were disqualified for the most mundane and trivial reasons. At least 1,527 valid military ballots were discarded in Florida by Democratic vote counters (Drudge Report, 11/19/00).

5. Criminals. Felons are a natural Democratic voter and they're protected on voter rolls across the country. In Florida at least 445 ex-convicts - including rapists and murderers -- voted illegally on November 7th. Nearly all of them were registered Democrats. (Miami-Herald 12/01/00)

6. Illegal aliens. These voters have long been a core liberal constituency, especially in California. In Orange County in 1996, Rep. Bob Dornan had his congressional seat stolen from him when thousands of illegal aliens voted for Loretta Sanchez (Christian Science Monitor, 9/2/97).

7. Vote-buying. Purchasing votes has long been a traditional scheme by Democrats, and not just with money. In the 2000 election in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Democratic workers initiate a "smokes-for-votes" campaign in which they paid dozens of homeless men with cigarettes if they cast ballots for Al Gore (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, 11/14/00).

8. Phantom Voters. These voters don't really exist, but their ballots do. In the 1996 Lousiana Senate race, GOP candidate Woody Jenkins had the election stolen from him when he discovered that 7,454 actual votes were cast but had no paper trail to authenticate them (Behind the Headlines, F.R. Duplantier, 4/27/97).

9. Dimpled chads. Those infamous punch-cards were a ballot bonanza for Al Gore. Democratic poll workers in Palm Beach, Dade and Broward counties tampered and manipulated thousands of ineligible ballots and counted them for Gore, even though no clear vote could be discerned. (NewsMax.com 11/27, 12/22, 11/18, 11/19/00).

10. Absentee ballots. Normally it's assumed that Republicans benefit from absentee ballots. But in the case of Miami's 1997 mayoral election, hundreds of absentee ballots were made for sale or sent out to non-Miami residents. Fraud was so extensive in the race that the final results were overturned in court (FL Dept. of Law Enforcement Report, 1/5/98)."
