I have this vision of what is probably going on in the msm editorial board meetings these days:

Reporter: We have to report on bbv's activities. They are going to prove that Kerry really won the election.

Editor: When they prove it we report it.

Reporter: But Bev told me it will break in the next day or two. If we hesitate someone else will beat us to the story. Olberman is all over it.

Editor: What Olberman is, dear, is full of it.

Reporter: He is the only major figure in the country with the courage to cover this critical breaking story.

Editor: OK. I give up. What evidence was Olberman have?

Reporter: Well, did you know a Republican contributor owns Diebold, the voting machine company.

Editor: So, George Soros owns a conglomerate with a subsidiary that makes toilets.

Reporter: Very funny. I am telling you, with an attitude like yours we will lose out to the competition. There are millions of Kerry followers waiting for us to speak on this issue.

Editor: You are talking to one of them. I just want us to have something to say that won't get the men in the white coats coming to take us away....

The problem with the wiring in the Dummies logic circuit is that even if the video was valid and even if the tapes proved a W overcount in that precinct by the amount of votes in the tapes that would be a long long long way from overturning the results in Florida.

As a practical matter they would have to litigate after the electors were chosen and try to force a statewide recount in a state W won by hundreds of thousands of votes. If by some miracle they won that litigation it would be appealed, eventually, all the way to U.S. Supreme Court just like in 2000. Even if the Supremes supported their effort all that would do is start a statewide recount. Even if by some miracle they won the statewide recount (and any litigation that followed it) there still would be two sets of electors representing Florida. The House of Representatives could choose the one they liked.

Game, Set, and Match.

It is the Dummies failure to pay attention to process issues that renders them clinically insane.

woman's retirement party

Bev didn't just storm into any old retirement party. She stormed into a retirement party that included many mid-level and upper level county officials in southern florida.

Their security guards were asleep on the job and Bev managed to disrupt the entire proceedings.

At this point Bev couldn't get a recount of cocker spaniels in the Dade County pound because the dog catcher knows better than to pay any attention to her. :-)
