Left Activists Plans to Attempt a Bush Impeachment
Orb Standard ^ | fourreasons.org

Posted on 11/05/2004 4:07:04 PM PST by Calpernia

Dear Four Reasons Reader:

Something truly amazing has happened. George W Bush was re-selected by god so that he and his administration can be held accountable for a premeditated war of aggression- the highest international crime.

There has been a tremendous effort underway since January of 2003 to bring up charges of impeachment as well as to try to bring up criminal charges in the International Criminal Court- which the US is not party to and therefore makes it a difficult task. This motion is headed by Ramsey Clark, Francis Boyle, and a host of serious legal scholars. Impeachment wasn't an option for the main reason that no one wanted to damage their own career or the democratic party.

Everything has changed now.

Some will say impeachment is impossible with the house and senate under GOP control. Well, impeachment itself may be impossible- under 'traditional' paradigms but bringing up impeachment charges is not. All this takes is one brave Congressman or woman to put it on the floor.

I have spoken with Francis Boyle (read his impeachment articles http://thefourreasons.org/impeachbush.htm) and his words are that we must all make it clear to our congressional reps on Nov 16 - when they go back into session- that this is the choice and that they must put forth articles of impeachment to hold the Bush Crime family accountable for their war crimes and crimes against humanity- based in and on a strict interpretation of the principles espoused by our constitution.

We are taught in school that there are three branches of government There are indeed four- the zeroeth branch of government is never discussed because it is implicit by virtue of the others' existence. The fourth branch of government is the People.

The four reasons has been around for 18+months. The site has seen, in the last 5 months, approximately 500 unique visitors a day with an average of roughly 25 search engine hits for "Impeach Bush".

After the selection- yesterday, that is, I received over 400 search engine hits for impeach bush and 2000 unique visitors. In addition My site statistics allow me to see which sites link to mine and what I have found is a relatively massive interest in a motion towards Impeachment.

I have also received several inquiries yesterday from readers on how they can get involved- an oddity based on the fact that I received, on average, as many inquiries per month prior to the selection.

What does this mean to me?

It means we must adopt a new paradigm which suggests that the real power of this country is in the people and if the people put the pressure on- in an organized and informed way- that we drive a motion towards impeachment. While the energy is fresh in our minds we must hold ourselves accountable and extend this level of responsibility to the people representing our interests in the government.

I can hear you like minded cynics out there saying "not possible with a republican house and senate". Let go of this. Shift the paradigm. If you want something bad enough you will have to work really had for it. Shift your strategy. Be disciplined and diligent. Reflect for a while on the circumstances in which our Constitution, and country were born.

Reflect a while on the Constitution. Understand the nature of the high crimes and misdemeanors carried out 'in your name' by the Bush Administration. Reflect on the detailed list of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by this Administration.

Ask yourself if you are being a responsible citizen. If your answer to this is no than it is you who will have to 'sacrifice' some of your time to do what is necessary and to have the resolve to protect the interests of US citizens at home, and abroad,

The election result is no victory for the Bush Administration. If you choose to believe that 'we have them right where we want them" - in full world view, where they can run but they can't hide, and you are willing to be brave, pick up the phone and a pencil, and tell your reps how you feel and, more importantly, WHAT YOU KNOW, and that it is high time to do the right thing, then you have already shifted the paradigm and what comes after will progress with greater ease.

You the people!

I guess they are free to damage the democrat party now.

They have to take both Senate and House first to even think about this. Clinton could get impeached because the congress was under Republicans.

Goebbels would be proud. They can't actually get him out of office but they seek to use the media to spin a leadened albotross over the neck of this administration for the next 4 years.

Not gon' do it. Wouldn't be prudent.

The Zogbyism of the left must stop. Deal in FACT.

Henry B. Gonzales brought up a charge of impeachment against Bush 41 for the Gulf War. He was written off as a crazy old Mexican, which he was.

Some Democrat like the soon-to-be-bankrupt Jim McDermott can introduce a bill of impeachment. It will sit there, and sit there, and nothing will happen.

Did these fools not get the message? After this election, we are in charge now. The right is starting to wake from its sleep. You don't believe it? Look what happened to Daschle. If anyone tries to mess with our President, the people of this nation should hunt them down and punish them like the traitors they are.
