We're not talking about getting stoned here. We're talking about humanely relieving the pain of certain sufferers, so as to afford them some quality of life. That's what the DEA is trying to stop.
Libertarians are against the initiation of force in any circumstances. I doubt you'd see many of them killing for cannabis. To fight tyranny and unconstitutional abuse of power, maybe.
Before anyone starts the inevitable flame as to my motives, I am a Libertarian and have never touched a drug in my life.

Humanely limiting the pain of sufferers is not what the Libertarians fight for. They are constantly posting article after article promoting legalization of drugs (not for the sick).
Don't think we are idiots and do not understand the Libertarians. Many of us have been chastised by them when we post anything that they don't agree with.
The impression I have gotten of Libertarians is that they want drugs, they want no laws, no security of any sort provided for Americans if it at all might possibly catch them in their quasi-illegal activities. My impression is they want drugs and want the world to change their opinion that drugs affect the minds of users, that drugs are harmful and costly to society.
The impression I have is they care not for the weak of the society, they want no responsibility to pay for infrastructure of society, they live for anti-government, anti-GOP hatred, they want their drugs, their guns, and their view of the perfect government.
Oh, I forgot, they also want drugs legalized and they hate the WOD.
