This was not the Freeper banned . She is just pissed that two of her favorites are gone.

i have decided to withdraw my monthly support to freerepublic.com.

i am very, very upset and disappointed with the recent censorship occurring by the moderators and jim robinson, himself, on freerepublic and the bannings of very good conservative freepers who are apparently being nuked because they are not toeing the republican line.

several of my favorite freepers have been banned within the last day or two. every one of them was a pro-nation, pro-constitution, pro-conservative values poster. not one of them was ever rude, used profanity, or broke any of the posting rules that i witnessed.

it is my feeling that freerepublic.com is no longer about what jim robinson has on his very own opening page. it seems now to be about promoting and fundraising for the REPUBLICAN party only.

i left lucianne.com a year ago and recruited 150+ people over to freerepublic (the freeoples)--many of them are now monthly contributors. we exodused that site because of the censorship/bannings on there by the webmaster. we were all thrilled that we had such a FREE and energetic place to post. i no longer feel that is the case at freerepublic.com.

can you take care of this for me? if you need my cc # or any other information, please let me know.

If this keeps happening we all know the result. normally I will see one or two of these a month. When they happen in rapid succession, we need to take notice and maybe reappraise our action.

Well, on the flip side, we lose people who get tired of being walked on by some of the assholes who post here (favored or not). It is something we strive to balance.

Evidently she is good friends with one of my team, who also is now considering leaving FR.

On the flip side, I have never has a Freeper give that as the reason they withdrew their donation.

It is necessary for me to not get into a debate or explanation, with any Freeper on these kinds of issues.

With the Freepers that I come in contact with,
I try to be sympathetic, cheer them up and try to get them to stay as readers if nothing else. And I always apologise that they feel this way and hope time will heal their wounds.

Joe, if this is about GrandMom_Mom, she was not banned by a moderator. She opused. She resigned. She posted a thread that was an exageration and complete distortion of what took place and she said she was leaving FR. I did not want a thread that was full of false accusations against our moderating team so I took it down. It was only then that I banned her account. She had already left but I did not want her to come back and repost her opus.

It was not her. This was a Freeper who liked her and some others who have been canned recently.

I also checked out the record of the Freeper who withdrew her support. Her record as far as I can see is clean.

Ok, it's a shame that this happened, but I guarantee you GrandMom_Mom overreacted when she took herself out. I would have no problem if she wants to forget about it and come back in.

Fine with me. There have been lots of people who have opussed over the last several years. I always feel bad about it (unless it's one who was on my list anyway), but I have never chased after them. I've always felt that if they can no longer live with FR and want to leave then who am I to say otherwise. There has also been a whole lot of people who have opussed and then later asked to be let back in. Unless they were a real hard case to begin with, I've always welcomed them back with open arms.

Joe, if she comes back in and continues her mischaracterization of the moderators, I'll have to ban her. That's why I'd rather have her ask to come back. Have her friends ask her. If they want her back they will. If she wants back in she will. Remember, she's the one who dropped out. It's up to her.
