No, the moral of the story is they have an effed up government that needs fixed, particularly in regards to self defense and confronting criminals.
I don’t give a shit if they are running or not, they pull that shit on my and/or my family and they get exactly what they deserved. Judge, Jury and Executioner? Well, since the government refuses to do their job and refuses the average citizen the rights to protect they and theirs, then yes, I will have to be all three in order to see justice properly served.
Isn’t this part and parcel of what used to be nominally called Civilization?

True. In the bar the mob had a sense of justice. The man here made the mistake of giving chase.

That statement really contradicts fearing for his life. It speaks more to his anger of his family being violated.
The main point I was going for was that when we lose faith in government doling out justice, people will reach a point of taking it on themselves.
