Great debut album. So a few years ago, I went to see them in concert and they did only their later jazz stuff. No “Reelin.” No “Do it again,” No “Rikki,” No “My old school.” Horrible freaking concert.

Haven’t heard that song in 30 years. That was an album cover you just had to have to be even remotely cool. Along with “Sticky Fingers” and all Led Zeppelin 1-4 albums.

Yeah, I don’t hate them. But they are annoying because I was trapped in the family station wagon with simulated wood door panels for much of the 70s as a kid...and it seemed all that was playing on the AM radio was Steely Dan or Chicago on a loop.

Yeah, I definitely prefer the pre-Aja stuff, although I certainly do like Aja.

But I miss Skunk Baxter’s guitar work, and the more rock-ish sounding stuff.
