In order for a coup to be successful here you would need a whole lot of planning and a whole lot of folks involved and with a lot of folks involved it could never be kept a secret and therefore it would not be a successful coup. Divide and conquer. That’s what the Soviets were doing and that it what the communists and useful idiots are doing now.

How many military commanders did Obama purge ?- it was a large number, but I lost count. As usual, they attack Trump by accusing him of deeds for which they are guilty.
So many things wrong … not just differences of opinion, but outright WRONG … about what this person says. Who is he? Is he even a US citizen? Is the publication for which he wrote this a US based media, or from another country? Maybe even another planet, in another universe?
Ah. I was right. A piece by a foreigner for a foreign publication. No wonder he shows no signs of knowing or understanding American government, politics, or society. The frightening thing is, I have seen statements by Americans that were just as clueless. And been called “either an ignoramus or a terrible human being” for disagreeing with them.
The chance of a military coup in the US is zilch. Not for size but the stress is not there. We have, despite the Clinton and Obama, a stable government that recognizes the transition of power. Sadly, though, if there were a coup, I wounder how many Americans would just yawn and ignore it?
