When Marisa Franco and her fellow activists heard that Donald Trump, the front-runner for the Republican nomination, was going to hold a rally in a wealthy suburb of Phoenix this month, they knew they would do something to disrupt his visit. The only question was how.
With just 24 hours to plan, they decided not to attend the rally, but to organize a protest blocking two roads leading to the venue. For two hours, they obstructed traffic. In one location, three people chained themselves to vehicles to make it harder to dislodge them – a task eventually performed by police.
“We wanted to block the road to Trump, literally and figuratively,” said Ms. Franco, director of Mijente, a new national hub for Latino organizing. The media have given Mr. Trump an “open mike and unfettered access to the American public. As protesters, we are seeking to deliver a different message.”
As the primaries move into a later stage, a growing and diverse range of protests against Mr. Trump’s candidacy is unfolding. Some are collective, such as the demonstration Ms. Franco attended earlier this month. Others are at the individual level, with people opposed to Mr. Trump registering to vote for the first time or applying for U.S. citizenship.
The protests point to a shift in the dynamic of the campaign....

People who sneak into this country are criminal foreign invaders, ALL of them are rapists, killers, pedophiles, terrorists. If these protestors disagree with that, then PROVE IT. Oh that’s right, they can’t because illegals are never checked out WHICH IS WHY THEY ARE A DANGER. They want to call them migrants, I’ll call them rapists, killers, terrorist and pedophiles so nobody forgets why they shouldn’t be here.
They are probably living off student loans that they will never repay.

They stopped a “Nazi” movement in it’s tracks in Peru with bayonets, bullets and cannons back in the 1940’s.
If these people were blockading an abortion clinic or ‘occupying a wildlife refuge” they would be defined as “militants” or “extremists” by the same media.
My great great great grandfather came to America to escape the Irish Potato Famine. At least a million people are thought to have emigrated as a result of the famine. Every one who came to America had to undergo a strict immigration processing system. Diseases such as fever, dysentery, cholera, smallpox, and influenza were quarantined. Even with the scrutiny, disease caused a huge death rate as immigrants flowed into America’s cities. If this flood of immigration occurred today, there would be a dramatic uproar to keep every one of them out. It is hard to imagine the effect of the hoards entering the cities like they did in the 1850s. One thing that kept it under control was the system created to make it an orderly process. Today that process has been subterfuged by men without the rule of a legal system to minimize the consequences.
They didn’t learn during or after Nam, they just became professors and teachers of the next generation of college commies....Ad nauseam,until we are now saddled with COMMIE CORE. And teachers who can’t add 2+2 with out 6 steps. And are ruing this current generation. They don’t even know how to deal with a disruptive child any more. We got paddled in front of the entire class.
My husband taught Jr College Computers/Electronics after a 20 year career in the US Navy, what he got for students was Memphis’ brightest, who had to go through remedial math and could not speak good English, ghetto slang, while his foreign students wanted the education and got top grades and never needed remedial any ting.
Most of his fellow associates were of the socialist Dem bent, and went all gaga over then Sen. Prince AlBORE coming to micromanage an event for him.
He just keeps his politics quite and votes GOP. I could wish he’d pay more attention to their positions though. I do that.
That’s why we keep getting these strange diseases showing up every year, these illegals come over the border, nobody checks them out and they move around crowded cities in the US, subways, buses spreading whatever stuff they have. I use to drive a taxi in New York city about 17 years ago and the illegals would pay someone to take the test for them to get their license and they would change the photo, so we would have all these illegals who could barely speak English driving taxis. The skin diseases I would catch from these sleazebags was unreal. We would drive in 12 hour shifts, so the illegal would drive the taxi then I would go to the garage and get the taxi next. Then my hands would be all over the steering wheel for 12 hours and next day my hands would be covered in little pin point blisters, it was bizarre as hell, like my skin was becoming unglued from my flesh. Then I took my shoes off one day while driving. For the next month the skin on my feet would be peeling off like I was wearing a glove, then I would get red spots all over my skin. I was absolutely nuts doing that job and I never found out what skin disease I had but all I know is when I quit, it went away.
It’s heartening to read the comments at the site — that readers reject the outright bias in the article, reject the normalization of violent or civilly disruptive behavior (which is not peaceful protest), and that they correctly label the suppression of free speech as fascist.
