I personally think a good many of our post 08 birthers are here to sow discord and nothing more.
They certainly drove me away from the issue and I was one of the first.
When they succeeded in diverting attention away from the place of Obama's birth to the citizenship of his father, they had defused the entire issue by turning it into a technical argument that is both irrelevant and unwinnable.
And that, probably, was the plan.
I agree, and the timing of these worthless "eligibility" posts against Cruz, who is leading our fight in the Senate, is VERY suspicious.
They ought to be yanked by the mods just on general principle, since they are clearly focused on attacking one of our few and most effective Conservative fighters in the public arena.
Only a name written on a plank from the Mayflower would satisfy some of them.
The problem is, it’s like the other side was minipulating the way the issue was being addressed. Obama was, and for all we know still might be, a citizen of Indonesia. He sealed the deal when he applied for college and scholarships as an Indonesian.
Could be. Like I said, the Cruz situation is a bit less obvious then the out and out lie that is "Barack Barry Hussein Obama Soetoro" or who knows what. Frank Marshall's revenge on Whitey, maybe....
Recall that people here used to think Rubio was God.
I'm still unconvinced that Cruz is not simply a more polished version of that.
Palin is a different story.
Soetoro should have been disqualified the day he filed. That he wasn't may turn in to the final nail in the coffin of the Constitution, and in 30 years we end up with a ranting Hispanic demagogue in the office, presiding over a decrepit Banana Republic.
