Conservatives, be careful what you wish for with Mitt Romney (Reality Check)
FOX NEWS ^ | 11/02/2012 | Juan Williams

The truth is, the Tea Party anger that boiled over in response to the President Obama’s healthcare plan had been brewing for years due to conservative disappointment with George W. Bush’s policies. Bush created record-breaking deficits, embraced Congressional earmarks, gained passage of an enormous expansion of Medicare entitlements without funding it, nominated Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court, and backed McCain-Kennedy comprehensive immigration reform.

Principled conservatives like Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity spoke out against the direction of the party, to their credit.

Conservatives must be careful not to abandon their principles out of blind hated for President Obama. In their zeal to make Obama a one-term president, they may just elect someone who ends up implementing policies that are to the left of George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

Juan Williams warns us that Mitt Happens is a liberal and his domestic and foreign policies and to the left of Bush and Obama.

We might not get what we'd like in him as a Republican President. That's why I am not voting for him and Juan Williams' advice is sound.

He strikes me as fair.

We don’t want to defeat Obama and get more of the same from Mittens.

Good idea. Always take advice from leftist journalists.

Being stupid is important, but being self-satisfied and smug in one's stupidity is even more important.

I was undecided until now, but Juan Williams is such an authority on conservatism that I guess I’ll just stay home on Tuesday.

I trust him implicitly to keep conservatives’ best interest in mind.

The day I listen to political recommendations from Juan Williams
is the day after I get a full frontal lobotomy.

Interesting that Juan Williams is free to speak his mind on FOX, not so the case with his former employer. Jaun, the sword can cut both ways.

Are you kidding? Juan Williams is as transparent as they come. He's in panic mode and he'll tell conservatives anything to get his hero re-elected. He knows Obama is heading for a major loss.

Then you're a f*cking idiot who should be banned from this sight! Go back to DU.

.... After EVERYTHING you know to be true about Obama, and you come off spouting something like this? What else do you want us to believe?

Juan’s rationale is why I hope that the Repubs take over both the Senate and the House. I’m hopeful that newbies like Fischer, Cruz, and Mourdock will start saying “NO” to the GOP-E.

If we get enough conservatives in the House and Senate, Mitt will be forced to “play ball”.

Considering how Conservatives embraced Juan as an honorable member if the opposition when he got booted from NPR, I wouldn’t think that he’d stoop to such a level of ingratitude by engaging in cheap voter (Conservative voter) suppression tactics.

I was right with you... up until benghazi....

anyone willing to abandon men in the field is far more dangerous than a liberal mcromney will be...

I hate to do it, but i will cast my ballot for the liberal..

jeez, how did we get into this position..

Oh, I know, it was because of a less than 20% turnout for the primaries...

sooo, about 11% of registered republicans gave us a choice between a communist and a big government lib...

remember this in 2014, and let’s form a rally cry...

“Primary ‘em”....

But a no vote could very well get Obama back in.

Juan Williams can always be counted on to spout the liberal line of the day. He is a democrat stooge. We should take seriously his admonishions about Romney—WHY???

It’s so wonderful that he has supported nearly every destructive policy that this Obama administration has implemented, and NOW he’s “concerned” for the country and warns us about Romney.

Wow.

That’s quite alright, I’ll vote for Romney.

With regards for who is the best for America, there is no comparison. I will vote for an American RINO any day of the week before I will vote for a Kenyan Marxist psychopath.

You do realize that Williams is a liberal and is trying to depress conservative turnout, right? If he believed Romney was as liberal as he claims, he would not be fighting so hard for Obama, who even the liberals see as a failure.

Now is Romney as conservative as I would like? No. But he is the alternative to Obama, and he is a LOT more conservative than Obama.
