To which documents are you referring? I have looked and cannot find any document in which Obama Sr. acknowledges himself to be the legal father of Barry.
On August 31, 1961, Obama Sr. filed an application to extend his visa. He stated “married” under marital status. In the space for wife, there is a name scratched out which is consistent with starting with a “K” and is about the right length for “Kezia Obama.” Next to the scratched-out words is “Ann S. Dunham, Honolulu, Hawaii.” The space for name and addresses of children is left blank. However, according to his purported birth certificate, BHO II was born weeks earlier.
On August 17, 1962, Obama Sr. filed an application to extend his visa. He stated “married” under marital status but left blank the space for name of wife. Under names and addresses of children he wrote “Roy Obama.”
On June 6, 1963 Obama Sr. filed an application to extend his visa. He left blank the space for children (and also omitted to mention any wife). There is a second handwriting on the form in which question marks are inserted in the spaces for name and address of wife and the words “he is married” appears.
In January 1964, Stanley Ann’s divorce petition alleged that they had a child BHO II. However, Obama Sr. never made answer to the divorce petition and he did not appear at the hearing in March 1964. It is notable that Stanley Ann did not seek child support against Obama Sr.; she may have known she was on shaky ground as to paternity and did not press the matter.
On April 21, 1964, Obama Sr. filed an application to extend his visa. There are two handwritings on this document – first, a faint one in all capitals in which his name and address and certain other information is filled in (but NOT children) and signed and second, a darker handwriting in which certain information and questions are further inserted in the document such as “Has one?” under social security number. The reference to BHO II is only in this second, darker handwriting (likely that of an INS person).
In various memos in the INS file there are indications that the INS personnel and university personnel at both UH and Harvard knew he had a child BHO II, so presumably he did not argue the point when raised in oral conversation.
Nevertheless, when the rubber hit the road, he never actually signed his name to any document by which he may have been admitting paternity.
And he never used the existence of the child, or even of a US wife, as an argument to extend his visa but always based his claim for his visa status on the grounds that he was a foreign student enrolled full-time at a university.
I agree with all of your observations, but I am looking at the legal fact of the bigamous marriage to which BHO Sr. agreed, doubtless knowing fully well she was pregnant. To me the implication is that it was probably either a “shotgun” affair for BHO Sr., or it was arranged to cover for FM Davis either for money or on possible orders from the KGB.
In any case when a guy marries a four month pregnant 18-year-old, it is an admission of paternity by the man, at least to the state department of vital records. And the admission by such a marriage knowingly seals legal paternity of the child born of that pregnancy as being the child of BHO Sr.
As a result of his agreement to marry SADO on an out-of-the-way island out of sight, he was able to remain single in public. BHO Sr. may not have known that the U of HI was feeding all of this incriminating information about his playboy ways and his marriage to the INS and thought it might make him look bad and get him deported if admitted fathering a son with an underage girl to the INS while married back in in Kenya. He was right, because that is what eventually got him kicked out of the country.
However, in April or May he told the INS in Baltimore he was “separated” from his wife who was in the Philippines IIRC. This might be further evidence he was trying to intentionally distance himself from both Stanley and Barry and he may not have known about all of the notes in the INS files back in HI. He may not have known he was divorced, given all of the partying he was doing with Ruth on top of his studies. Ruth's parents were hysterical and calling Harvard and the INS trying to get him kicked out of the country.
Reading your comment about the divorce decree, I am wondering if the reason that child support was not adjudicated was that the BC requested for the divorce by Stanley Ann's attorney from Kenya never arrived in time, if the new revelation on the Daily Pen that there is one in the Kew, UK BNA (archive) is true indicated by an index of a male baby born to BHO Sr in 1961.

One of the most seductive things about that Bomford BC was that the date it was prepared of February 1964, IIRC, fit it being a document requested for the HI divorce court.
Now Daily Pen says that “an original, unaltered Kenyan CCRB” for Obama was the template for the Bomford forgery “is now supported by the evidence discovered in the BNA.”
If Stanley Ann was hidden away in Kenya to deliver baby Barry, witnesses by Gramma Sarah as she claimed and registered in the colonial records not in the Kew, UK BNA, I think it is highly probable that BHO Sr. would know about that series of events. And he could be very motivated to hide it!

The child, BHO II, born during the BHO-SADO marriage, a marriage explicitly admitted by BHO Sr. on one INS document, is the LEGAL child of the father. Courts have repeatedly ruled "in the interest of the child" that it does not matter whether the father is the biological child of the child. It does not matter whether the father is aware that the child was born. He is the legal father of all children of the marriage.
So long as the HI marriage remained uncontested, for example for bigamy, by admitting in a signed form to the INS that he was married to Stanley Ann at the time of Barry's birth, BHO Sr. was accepting legal paternity of all children born to Stanley Ann during that marriage.
