Within this year, Kosovo expects to launch its own army, to be called the Kosovo Security Force (KSF). Compared to other military forces in Europe, the KSF will be small and lightly equipped; its size will be limited to 2,500 active troops and 800 reserves. It will be primarily responsible for crisis response, explosive ordinance disposal and civil protection.
The plans are to develop the force out of a current emergency response organisation, the Kosovo Protection Corps (KPC). Established eight years ago under UNMIK and KFOR supervision, it is involved in activities such as firefighting, search and rescue and medical assistance. Financial support comes from donors such as the United States, United Kingdom, France and the European Commission.
The KPC is essentially unarmed, with only 200 of its members authorized to carry weapons. Many in the KPC, however, came from the now-disbanded Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), and their military experience could provide the backbone for what will someday be the army of Kosovo.

In Kosovo, dozens of churches and monasteries have been destroyed following ethnic cleansing of Christian Serbs by the predominantly Muslim Albanians, all under the auspices of NATO soldiers, and Muslims are not ungrateful. Kosovo Albanians plan to honor their "savior," former US President Bill Clinton, by erecting a statue of him. - Miroljub Jevtic
Western governments are pushing for independence for a group of Jihadist thugs who recently wanted to create the Osama bin Laden mosque in Kosovo. The name was changed for public relations reasons since the Albanians needed American political support.

Well, isn’t that special?

PsyOPs in action -- not just on others, but on us!
Yeah, nobody can believe those liars in the USA military. Much better to rely on the kind of sources Serbs like you post here from the .yu domain.
There is no "Yugoslavia" anymore.
You still think that it's 1967 and the biggest US enemy is communism.
Just ring that little bell by your bed and tell the nursing home attendant that it's time for your nap. We'll wait.
It still is. Now the "progressives" and the Socialists try to sell it from the inside.
I don't disagree that "international socialism" IS the problem, but doesn't have the face that people think it does. It isn't coming out of Russia like TGJ thinks it is.
It's almost like posting from the old Soviet .su domain. It really lets people know just where you're coming from.
The conflict is, ultimately, an idealogical one, and the former borders and national associations have become less relevant since Communists declared Communism "dead". Which works perfectly with their goals.
An interesting aside is to be found here
Their ultimate goal remains a global order. They have to bring down this country first to make that happen, and they are working hard at it.
No they don't!
All they have to do is get their person elected.
That's nonsense. There was a hit ordered on the former editor of Glas Javnosti, Vjeko Radovic, and he had to hole up barricaded in his offices for two weeks for fear Milosevic was going to murder him. Glas Javnosti is anti-communist. You could accuse them of being "nationalists" and you'd be correct, but not communists!
Not everyone with a Slavic name is "a communist", and not every with an American name is not "a communist".
What really tees me off is that when the Soviet Union and communism was alive and well, I was the one wearing "Bleep communism" tee-shirt. When Vladimir Posner used to charm Americans on Phil Donahue, I was the one saying to my American friends, "He's lying to you. He's a communist snake!" When the US government couldn't sing Tito's praises loud enough, I was the one saying, "They are a communist government. They may be in the highest ring of Hell, but it is Hell no less, and Tito isn't America's friend!".
But you are continually accusing me of being "a communist sympathizer" and I am sick of it, TGJ. You are a racist who doesn't know who his real friends and enemies are!
No, it only exists in the delusional minded geriatrics who still have the hammer and sickle stuck up their arse. Your depends need changing sir.
Of course if they didn’t still dream of a Yugolsav “Greater Serbia” they could always change their domain to the new Serbian .rs domain name. The fact that they don’t says a lot.
Do I hear a dog barking?
The difference between our views on this exists in the idea that "the threat is coming from outside via places like Russia and China". I don't think that is the case. That is not to say that Russia and China are completely benign, but I don't think that they are part of this particular game.
I think that international socialism -- like al qaeda -- doesn't have "a country". They aren't outside us, they are globalists who work from within our countries. And they aren't "communists", they are instead wealthy global business cabals who sponsor candidates & platforms in a variety of countries. They are more like Nazis (who were National Socialists) but this group works on an international level to elect candidates who will break down our national borders and the concept of sovereignty, and who willingly incorporate their political platforms into their own. This threat is coming from the elite and elitists, not from some type of "peasant revolution", as was the case in countries which became communist.
The EU is falling in nicely with their ruling elite plans. I also think that militant Muslims breaking down the democratic system from within in the West, also work with their plans.
Regardless, of disagreements, "their goal is totalitarianism" is one on which we'd most likely agree.
I think that’s from the echo in your empty head you moron.
Wouldn't surprise me with the rest of the weird little voices you've got chirping in your head!
Wherever there’s a mangy cur, one is sure to find also a rutting bitch in heat.
Boo!!!! Look behind you, there’s a KBG agent and has your ED medication.
That is way out of line, TGJ. We may give each other a hard time, but that's crossing the line!
That’s the pet name for his inflatable partner.
You two can knock it off or take some time off.
Your choice.
That’s going too far. You can disagree, but please be at least more or less civil.
Or perhaps they’ve used the yu. domain name for so long, they’ve decided to keep it. I don’t think that anyone outside of a few kooks still dreams of a “Greater Serbia”, it any still do after all that’s happened.
You’re conversing with an irrational person, logic only angers him more.
More likely they can't financially afford to change it with everything else they have going on.
Well, it sure smells as if there’s one around here.
If only our anti-Serb posters were more honest about their motivations, they’d be quoting from jihad.org or dhimmitude.com.
Supporting Kosovo was a bad idea from the beginning. It damaged European security at the expense of American taxpayers while it enriched Democrat donors like George Soros.
You've got it wrong on this one TJ.
I concur that totalitarianism is the goal, and by laying the groundwork through obviously flawed domestic and foreign policy and so orchestrating conflict and disaster (more of both still coming), totalitarianism will not be so much imposed upon masses yearning to be free as demanded by huddled wimps who 'just want to feel safe'.
Natural disasters just serve to amplify that, although the only thing which humans can do there is set the stage for a catastrophe through policy and wait for the problem to happen.
Both Parties are infused with those who work toward these totalitarian aims, often through seemingly innocuous 'minor' policy edicts and regulations with the force of law, which is why it seems that no matter who wins an election, the results are pretty much the same.
Even the peasant revolutions of Communism were manipulated and orchestrated from the top down, moreso than even the participants knew, and to the benefit of a few.
Regardless of the label placed on it, or the attempt to clearly attribute it to any political spectrum, the goal is the same: control of the masses and their resources by a few on a global scale.
Your comment in post 22 to Bokababe was disgusting and uncalled for. You need to have the decency to retract your statement and apologize.
There is a huge difference in offensiveness between what the somewhat offensive things Bokababe said about Tailgunner Joe and the flat out vulgar things that he called her.
Thank you. This, unfortunately has been building for while with TGJ & me. I am not proud of the fact that I ultimately started responding in kind and it got to the point that he said something like this.
But I did NOT call in the moderator, hoping that TGJ would realize that he had crossed the line on his own. The moderator intervened anyway -- and that's OK, I'll gladly take the hit too if it means we can stop name-calling and insulting each other and just stick to dealing with the issues at hand.
Imho, that would do it.
Whether economic collapse, subversion, or blood in the streets, all can be 'managed' from on high. Look at the way the Feds managed to take the depression of the 30s and extend it with poor policy, in a day and age when few enough ran on credit, and most went to church on Sundays.
Now, with the current dependency mindset, there would be riots and hell to pay.
A few of the 'right' appointments and a few anti-constitutional laws and SCOTUS rulings and we have real tyranny or civil war.
A few more and the dollar goes right down the crapper, and we are in recievership as a nation.
Either works from a global standpoint to neutralize the US.
And then we have the invasion of illegal aliens in progress, which alone might be enough.
I think that that we have been divided into three groups -- the elite, the middle class and the masses. And the elite have decided that we in the middle class are going to be continually bled to support the elite class and the masses, until we just disappear.
It's not just the masses that are using up our tax dollars demanding social services -- the elite are running many of these "privatized" social services so we are getting them richer, too. The same system works with "wars", too.
Yes, we obviously need to defend our country so I am not suggesting complete pacifism. On the other hand, the more wars we are fighting, the more it enriches the elite who run the war industry. They don't even need our sons anymore, they can just "hire an army" -- and those who run these rent-an-army organizations are also getting rich off it.
We don't know who to be mad at -- the masses living off of us or the elite making sure legislation is passed forcing us to support them. Most of us are angry at the masses "bleeding us dry", but they couldn't do it unless the elite were spurring on this legislation to tie us down.
To take this shell game with our tax dollars one step further, this isn't just happening on a national level, it's happening on an international level; "nation-building" overseas, foreign aid, the UN.
And to bring it back around to the subject of this thread, Kosovo is a perfect example of the US taxpayer getting bilked by the elite.
NATO and $6 billion worth of weaponry and arms to bomb the heck out of Serbia for 78 straight days to stop a non-existent "genocide"; then $Millions more to build Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo -- a permanent US base built right after the war by a Haliburton subsidiary; $Millions more for US, UN and NATO troops occupying Kosovo for the last 9 years; a sell off of Kosovo's (Serbia's conquered) mining and energy assets to elites like George Soros; $6Billion in "nation-building" funds that have yielded zero results (in short, the money has just disappeared through the cracks). And how did any of this benefit you or I, Joe Average American? It didn't. It wasn't supposed to. Remember it was categorized as "humanitarian". "Humanitarian" is double-speak for "rape, pillage and plunder to get the elite richer". Our intervention caused far more death and destruction than happened before we got involved. But the elite made money off of it, so it was "good and humanitarian".
Now, we are left with "an independent Kosovo" -- an economically nonviable basket case that has always been on the dole for $millions every year, and likely always will be -- and you and are forced to support it.
Some think that US taxpayers are just going to get fed up and revolt. I don't think so -- because there are now too many people whose livelihoods are wrapped up in government or working for for government-dependent industries. Meanwhile, being at war, we accept that our freedoms are somewhat "temporarily" curtailed, but what if it isn't "temporary"? What if it is just the beginning?
I am fully aware that this scenario sounds "paranoid" -- but what if it isn't?
