One thing for sure, it wasn't an "accident."
Prayers for the baby. Lots of people have tough childhoods and still turn out OK. Let's hope.

Freud would have a thing or two to say about this.

I thought, big deal, so are 10 million other women. Yes, but only 1,072 of them are lesbians. /sarc

I heard this this morning. I thought, big deal, so are 10 million other women. She's a woman. Thats what happen to women sometimes."Big deal, so are 10 million other women"?
From the looks of it, either (A) you're unaware of what makes Mary Cheney stand out from those 10 million other pregnant women, or (B) you're unaware of what causes pregnancy.

It may not be ideal, but at least Mary is in a long-term committed relationship, and the child will have strong, loving grandparents.
The child will be loved and well cared for, which is more than can be said for many other kids. I wish them the best.

Bush's fault? LOL

Agreed. It's none of our business. I have several lesbian classmates from college who have had children (either naturally or through adoption) with their long-time partners. None of them will ever be on welfare.

The elite of this country have no problem with homosexuality. None. Even if they oppose gay marriage politically, they have no problem hiring and socializing with homosexuals and their partners. Heartland conservatives, the kind of folks who vote GOP, in contrast to their immediate economic interests, have no idea what their leaders are really like and what they abide culturally.
This is where Foleygate will impact voters in the Heartland and homosexual staffers and politicians in Washington. There is, and always has been, a disconnect between the values of professional conservatives and the people they profess to lead.
Professional conservatives live the life of Washingtonians. They don't go to church as much as the rest of the nation and they don't behave like the rest of America, at least not those they represent. They live a life much like their liberal counterparts.
They make the case for social conservatism in Washington but when they go out into Middle America and rail against the liberal elites, they are railing against themselves. -A.C. Kleinheider, Volunteer Voters

Poor kid. May he or she somehow survive his mother's disordered choices and help lead her out of her wicked lifestyle.
