The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…

Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

The Road Goes Ever On…

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

yah. That's really the whole point. If anyone in the world was in a position to predict that he was close enough to the edge to fall over-- she was. If she didn't see it coming, then how is the city, as merely his employer, supposed to know?

It would be like... if I were about to lose it and go nutso on the roof with a rifle because of a failed relationship (not that this is going to happen... really, it's just a hypothetical... really... and besides, I don't have my rifle up here) how would the blame for it possibly be placed on my employer?

More to the point: There have been any number of workplace shootings in the last few years, and I don't recall that the blame for ANY of them was placed on the employer for DRIVING THEM to some fateful action, or FAILING to see it coming.

How, in the case of a chief of police is it really any different?

No, we don't do any MIDI stuff. But wife has a lot of hymn arrangements she would like to have transcribed. She's lookin' forward to it.

And, I'll play it more since I'll be able to plug in a set of headphones and no one can hear how bad I am.

I'm literally exhausted. The last thing I did before coming in for the night was mow the front yard. It was almost dark. No kidding, I've been outside all day! So cool and sunny!

I'm sunburned a bit on my arms and face!

You and your wife would prob get along with Terry, if you all are into Christian music. He plays keybroads, and is designing something MIDI, oh, a MIDI interface he says for an old Yamha GS1, which does not have one. He plays keybroads for our church and also for some other ministry outreaches over the years. He has also done a good bit of studio work.
