Look at your own school district first.
In my salad days, we had a high school and one (count ‘em, one) assistant principal, also known as the Executioner to naughty boys.
Today every school has multiple principals and the district has multiple assistant superintendents, all earning (paid, sorry) big bucks with generous retirements. Too many chiefs, we usta say.
