Politically, yes. But, without giving away the movie, there is a valid reason they declared themselves independent nations and decided to join forces against the DC government. Since they declared themselves independent nations, they could realistically just go their separate ways after the war. But, in the movie, they joined forces long enough to fight a common enemy.

It is to a point. But, in the end, the good guys win.

They made the entire thing bland with flashbacks of bland and a couple of lashings of concentrated bland. Topped with a sprinkling of unbelievably stupid.

It is a distilled room temperature water of a movie.
