"What is a 16 year old doing out at 3AM? What is a 16 year old doing driving a Porsche."

I was born in '47. We never had a car when I was growing up. Had to take the bus or walk wherever we wanted to go. I never even got my driver's license until I got married and had kids. Never was able to buy a new car for myself until I was 34 years of age, and it wasn't a Porsche. It was a VW Golf.

911 great at apex of overcooked corner — you have your choice if oversteering or understeering into the weeds, no bias at all.

When I was 22 I had a mid-engine Porsche 914 with no back seat at all. I once had five in the car when I made a trip to the beverage store, and I had the top on.

I never wrecked it or had an accident.

My daughter had their home exterior damaged by a 16 year old with a new BMW in similar circumstances. The kid was relatively unhurt but did not have enough insurance for the power pole damage and home damage he caused and the parents just turned their back on the liability for their purchase/gift.

Think so? I’m curious, do you think the parents didn’t know how to rear kids or are they guilty of neglect? Either way, I agree with what you said. I grieve for the child and parents, (maybe, depends upon the answer to sentence number 2).

Unlike Freeper tradition, I read the sad article after I finished writing paragraph number one. I was going to go a different way until I saw what they wrote about the father’s career. I’m even more unsure about the poor parents now.

The guy is a product mobility and supply chain guru. Recently hired by Lowe’s. Came to Lowe’s from Nordstrom’s.

The war on elementary school boys, Caucasian self loathing, extreme self-esteem indoctrination, medicating boy students, toxic masculinity and the total emasculation of the Western Washington male has been part and parcel of the public school system for 40 years in this damned State! It’s so bad, that women riders of the light rail system into Seattle are less fearful of the attacks by drug vagrants if there are more women on the coach than males because Seattle area males will not protect anybody. Check out the link, I’m not making this up. https://mynorthwest.com/3724879/seattle-rider-gives-up-mass-transit-homeless-man-feel-less-safe/

If these parents are from the Seattle area, because that’s where Nordstrom’s from, then they might not have realized that they were/are the epitome of a “P*** Poor Parent.” God have mercy on their souls.

An Executive at LOWES...where do they get this people, HARVARD? Was he so stupid to let his 16 yr. old daughter run around at 3a.m. She needed a good spanking.

I'm willing to give them a partial pass on her being out that time of night if she did sneak out and didn't have a practice of doing so - high school kids were sneaking out a half century ago. I won't give them a pass on giving her access to a high powered sports old enough to not meet current safety standards. And if she did steal the keys, they should have heard it fire up when she left.

Parents need to keep track of their mid-teen children.

“Porsche? James Dean had one too. Small world. Wonder if he was involved?”

Did they ever find his car?

The Charlotte Observer reported it was indeed her 10 year old Porsche 911. Very unlikely a 16 year old paid for her own insurance. Even a 2014 Porsche 911 base model would be too much for a teen not specifically trained to drive it, but it is said to be a much higher powered model.

Something seems off, or left out of this story.

The ex went to auction and bought the oldest and anxious a Dodge Charger with fat slicks for racing. In northern New England. In fall. Refused to trade slick out for snow tires. Didn’t want to buy new wheels.

She spun out and spun out. I don’t know why she didn’t die. She was living with him. The Chargers engine blew. He bought her another one. She could not manage them. She finally traded and bought herself a little Toyota.

I prayed. She still loves him best and hates me.

I am sure that she was heading back after working a late shift at a restaurant, and needed to drop off some co-workers before school started.

Looks like a typical airbrushing of events by a professional media handler.

I know of a few car accidents often involving young (under 18) girls, some of which ended tragically with death and others with miraculous survival where I knew the people related to the accident victims.

In all cases, there was a LOT left out of the story. And most of the cases it was the true events were either downplayed or just outright not mentioned. ALWAYS sanitized to make everyone involved, even or especially the guilty ones, look good.

If there is a wrecked car in the fairway what are the rules? Do you play the hole like you would with casual water on the fairway?

When I was 16 I drove a Rambler with a 3 on the tree. I am not sure of the HP, but it seems to me it wasn’t much over about 60 HP..

Somehow it’s Trump’s fault. Else why have his name so prominent?

What the hell does Trump’s golf course have to do with some spolied 16 year old? Exactly.... the MSM is unbelievable!

This is the DM...the undisputed hyper-champions of hyperbole.

Any micro-tenuous connection of any occurance, however marginal, to someone with a "name" is headline material to them.

I’m sorry any teen aged kid is dead but that’s why you don’t give a 16 year old a porsche. You give them a used Toyota Camry. Or a Jeep.
