Are they, or I, in military uniform?
Ditto. They don’t think they are representing the country. They consider themselves victims of American injustice. The Rapinoe influence is destructive, yey she remains the darling of the MSM.
Go Portugal.
You are not alone! I’ve rooted agaisnt them since Megan was so disrespectful back in the day. She and her ilk are horrible “representatives” of our nation- the bring shame to our nation, not admiration.
I do the same....really don’t remember everyone singing in years gone by.
They aren’t Team USA. Team USA would appreciate and respect the freedoms and liberties the USA affords them and so many fought and died for. This “Team” does not.
hoping they lose....and hope it effects their take.
Women’s soccer is equivalent to a Special Olympics event.
The game is so slow compared to the way men play. Everything is in slow motion, as if children were playing, but the audience acts as if the participants were “special”. Looking at you RapinHo. /spit
US Code
171. Conduct during playing
During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should render the military salute at the first note of the anthem and retain this position until the last note. When the flag is not displayed, those present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed there.
(June 22, 1942, ch. 435, §6, 56 Stat. 380; Dec. 22, 1942, ch. 806, §6, 56 Stat. 1077; July 7, 1976, Pub. L. 94–344, §1(18), 90 Stat. 812.)
Amendments
1976—Pub. L. 94–344 inserted requirement that during the rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all persons present except those in uniform should stand at attention, face the flag, and place the right hand over the heart and men with headdress should remove the headdress and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart and when the flag is not displayed, those present should face the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed.
1942—Act Dec. 22, 1942, substituted “all present should face the flag and salute” for “the salute to the flag should be given” in last sentence.
Of course.
Many years ago Johnny Carson said the same thing when Bobby Fisher, the USA chess whiz was playing a champion from the USSR!
“ I’m a vet, and I never sing the anthem.
Stand at attention with hand on heart is more respectful behavior.
I’m not saying they are on my side though.”
I’m a vet. Combat. Any citizen must defend this country and the constitution or state exactly why they are protesting.
People pledge allegiance to the flags and to the republic or they say it without any intention of meaning it
It is not strictly the job of the military to do so
The constitution does not stand for racism. The opposite
That said, watch the video of their protesting the anthem if you’re going to comment.
I will comment as I please.
I’m sure you will
To say they weren’t disrespectful is an insult
They can go to hell.
Last week on Fox noted Vietnamese we’re all singing and paying attention for their anthem. While our spoiled-rotten brats stood around like damp rags.
It really started with the rolling over for BLM and condoning their riots. to hell with them all.
Some are, some aren’t.
You’re easily insulted.
It kills these women to be called the US Team
They hate America, just like all the Leftists.
