I already pointed out those inteviews, provided links, took notes - and my work were ignored. After which time you said that Czebotar must have powerful truth for me to push it off the main thread (i.e., you suggest I intentionally suppress the truth). So why should I spend time going back to find that content, or posting the same content over and over when I know I will be ignored and maligned? Please feel free to go back searching the threads for the content you wish; I know I posted links to his interviews etc.

That's a chilling thought but probably true in todays enviroment.

The thing about Juan is that I don't have enough information about him to form my own opinion and the problem is that I don't really have the interest to invest time to find out. Sounds bad, but everybody here has their own topics of interest that they like to specialize in.  I've read what other people say about him like an observer watching the wind blow through the trees. Even so, it's hard to understand the vitriol his name can generate. But it's good that this topic can be discussed in Festival and this can be considered free speech in the same way you can freely box your opponent but only within the confines of a boxing ring.

The chasing down of derogatory info on JOS, for example, is such an outlier from the sources I follow, that it would bore me silly.

Then to see, hear or read a yarn that is possibly biased, inaccurately assessd, if even true, nope. So i read you.

My point exactly. I don't follow JOS. Never read or watched him. Same with other personalities. I don't care for memes. I support the right of others to see them and would never even consider asking that they be "taken to festival" or not posted. I just skim on by as they load.

Conservatives should NEVER censor other Conservatives. If it's not Jim's rule, it's not a rule. The only one of Jims rules I see broken in here is the one about personal attacks when tempers flare. Most of us have been guilty of it. Sometimes you just have to put on your big girl panties and move on. I'm not easily offended by anything, so I go....

Hg was *thought* to be banned, and it was *assumed* to be for a so-called “hate crime”— Overt Racist Slur to another poster, against his Wife.

Hg was appreciated by many and so several defended him. Seems he has not posted since that event. Thus, the assumption.

I would be interested in what should be done about trolling, but what is the point, when poster’s nor FR thread creators, for good reason, do not set the standards, share the risks, make the determinations, nor issue objective corrections?

I do appreciate the absence of the kitchen sink accompanying the question.

My impression is you always seem to circulate around substance in your own postings and in responding to others, rather than burying what they believe is true and substancial, in multiple personal character assassinations.

Here is my definition of a troll. I’ve seen a lot in my years here.

For example, I posted a reply to a person. Another person attacked me and called me names. I responded to the person that attacked me. So, he did it again and called ME a troll.

I wasn’t talking him to start with but that didn’t stop him from attacking me twice. The second time, I totally ignored him.

So, who is the real troll, me or the person that butted in to attack me when I wasn’t talking to him to begin with and didn’t ping him or ask his opinion?

It’s OK though. I’m used to grumpy old men. I normally ignore them, but that time was uncalled for. Of course, I got the blame, but I don’t care. It’s a good way to find out who your friends are. I’ve seen this person do it to others and anybody that doesn’t agree with him is the dreaded TROLL! Horrors! Did I whine to a mod? No. Did I hit the abuse button? No.

That is what HG always did to Easy but HG is a psychopath, IMO. Most trolls are just mean. Most would get an iron skillet in the face if they talked to their wives that way. They have to vent somewhere, I guess.

A troll literally means to put a baited hook in the water and hope to catch something.
As far as the "water" that means a site not a person.
