I never thought about black bears in Florida until we visited the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park years ago… this lovely little zoo features only animals native to Florida. Black bears were definitely featured there.

I'm in Connecticut too and now see black bears on a regular basis.
Either they are getting more comfortable around humans or their population is exploding.

Is that the video that went viral last year?
I have a new code called bear cleans, when builders call to have trash from bears that raid peoples garbage and drag it into the woods near home construction sites. I bill for a “bear clean”
Kind of funny until someone gets hurt. Its only a mattee of time.
