The RINO-led Lincoln Project's stated goal when it was formed in 2019 by former and "current Republicans" (aka, RINOs) was to prevent and stop the hugely popular & hugely successful President Trump from getting reelected in 2020 and also to prevent and stop Republican political candidates (who ever said anything positive about President Trump), across the nation, from getting elected (or reelected) in the 2020 Democrat/RINO Stolen Election. To understand what they mean by "democracy", you really have to get into the intellectual underpinnings of the French Revolution, especially Rousseau's General Will. David Boies, arguing for Al Gore in Florida 2000, made this explicit.

To put it in context: The leaders of the Democratic Party are the leaders BECAUSE they know, or understand, what the People want, or would want if they were not controlled by evil MAGA Republicans. Therefore - when simple arithmetical counting of votes produces the right result, it is legitimate - but when it produces a result contrary to the General Will, it is illegitimate and no measures to reverse or undermine the result are out of bounds.

This is the situation we find ourselves in, on issue after issue.

It is not going to end well.
