Yeah if you actually tead the article you linked to, you’ll see the trucks were ordered as a “precaution”. The trucks aren’t actually being used. There were many stories just like this last year, to gin up fear. Fake stories.

The vaccine was also heavily advertised to keep you from spreading COVID to your loved ones and others, “the responsible thing to do”, which we now find out is absolutely false. How can you support and back the likes of Fauci, etc al and the majority of doctors who support him after we have been lied to over and over again.
The math was extraordinarily clear when the vaccine results were announced 9 months.
The vaccines significantly diminished the odds of contracting COVID on each encounter, but it was obvious that with repeated encounters a vaccinated person would likely eventually become infected.
The primary benefit was clearly disclosed as, and has always been, that the vast reduction in morbidity and mortality of persons who became infected - 90%+ cuts in hospitalization and 99%+ cuts in deaths.
It was never incumbent upon drug companies, doctors or politicians to make the obvious clear to idiots.
I’m confused about the same thing. When I got the vaccine I knew it was only to prevent the symptoms from getting out of control if I did catch the virus.. the cytokine storm... I thought this was common knowledge but it apparently isn’t. The vaccine is made of proteins that are responsible for the spikes that cause the more deleterious symptoms.. it trains your immune system to recognize those proteins so it doesn’t overreact when the vaccine invades your system.
Even Rand Paul, whom I respect, was questioning the idea that the vaccine didn’t prevent infection.. he has natural immunity so maybe he didn’t bother to read up on it, but he shouldn’t go on TV spouting opinions about something he hasn’t even read up on.. even if he is an an MD.
Pray-tell, what do the 5 to ten year safety studies reveal about possible adverse reactions?

No one that isn’t already vaccinated is likely to get vaccinated now. There is too much negative propaganda out there, some of which undoubtedly is being pushed by the Chinese. They certainly don’t like the prospect of us having a good vaccine against the virus, and they can flood the internet with falsified statistics and articles. And, frankly, I don’t care who gets vaccinated or not. I’d just as soon take a vaccine that had been developed in 6 months in 2021 as I would one that took ten years in 1950. (And I took several of those, too).

Very true. I spent an hour explaining to a friend yesterday why there is no such thing as “breakthrough” cases. He didn’t know either...

Please see my post 39. The “fact sheets” for all 3 vaccines (J&J, Pfizer, Moderna) as of April 2021 had identical wording:
“You are being offered the XXX vaccine to prevent Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by SARS-CoV-2”.
You state you don't know if Rand read the literature or not then you condemn him for not reading the literature which you just admitted you don't know if he did or not.

Appreciate your transparency and truly appreciate you not wanting to impose vaccines on the young and healthy and anyone for that matter. We differ, but not so much on how government should react. cheers.

There is no reason to test if you are asymptomatic. What is he trying to prove? His stupidity?
Breakthru cases are called such because the vaccine failed its primary objective of preventing the vaccinated from catching the virus.
