A checkup by a vet is not that expensive. Take him in for a look, listen to what he says and then decide if your kitty is worth a few bucks to you.
You can’t really help him without a vet’s help... As an animal lover with a special attachmment to cats I urge you to do it. If the cat is going to suffer and is dying please consider having your sweet cat euthanized. Don’t just let him hang around and suffer until he dies.
Prayers up for you and your sweet kitty.
Prayers up, I hope your cat gets better.
If not too old...could be immature immune system. and he is infected. Could have a parasite. I have had many kittens with similar symptoms. Call vet...tell them your financial situation. Maybe they will work out payment plan.
Your baby may need subcutaneous administered fluids for a while and syringe delivered food and/or anti parasite or antibiotics for a while depending on the diagnosis.
Depending on vet and your location...the total cost might only be in the low hundreds.
I have had many kittens with those problems and a visit to the vet was life saving. Diagnosis was variable. I am not a vet..
I have already prayed for you to do the right thing and for God to help you and the kitten. He cares for the sparrows, it is said.
One good turn deserves another - prayers up for Sam.
Prayers up.
I really understand. My pup has been throwing up all day and I don’t have the cash to easily take care of her if it continues. A year of unemployment will do that.
Hoping for the best for you and Sam.
Prayers are in my heart for you Big Kitty. In Jesus’ Name I Pray. Amen.
Sorry your kitty is suffering. 🙏🙏🙏 for you and Sam. Keep us posted. Bite the bullet, and whip out your credit card if that is what it takes to get him to a Vet.
Praying for little kitty Sam. Let it be a very curable thing.
Sounds like worms, maybe?
Call up the vets and ask if any of them do pro bono work. You might be surprised.
Or your local no-kill shelter—they are dedicated to keeping cats alive.
Maybe they could send one of their kind volunteers to your house.
Of course I beseech our Creator with all my heart that Sam can make a complete recovery and give you many more years of his love.
Many prayers for your baby Sam. Other FReepers are correct. Get him in tomorrow. As a long time cat & dog mom he needs medical attention.
Many prayers for his recovery and for you both. It’s very scary when a fur baby gets ill.
Prayers up.
Prayers for Sam and you both, who love him so much.
We had a similar event with ours, Bob, a couple years ago. We did end up taking him to the vet, and they gave him some type of fluid injection, which seemed to get him back on the right track. Shortly after we got home from the vet, he was back to eating a little, and “normal” within another day or so. Maybe the vet will give you a payment plan, if needed.
Would you mind at all if I told you my 20 year old Sam is in the same condition. He needs prayers too. I have spent a ton of money at the vet and I have no answers either.Sam is a dog. He is a Schnoodle. Sam is the love of my life. I pray when the Lord takes him it will be peacefully in his sleep. I will pray for your Sam and you can prsy for mine. Be Blessed brother... We have a Great God.
Can you start a gofundme?
I will gladly donate so Sam can be seen by a vet.
Hugs to you and Sam. ❤️🐈
Prayers for Sam Cat.
I had some luck tempting my ill cats to eat by just opening a jar of baby food and setting it before them.
Had to put done our 16 year old. She went blind.
As I type this our 18-year old cat, Sam, is sitting comfortably on my lap. He is the last of 11 cats we’ve had over the last 42 years. Our Sammy is blind now, but is otherwise in good health (knock on wood). Over the years we spent a fortune trying to keep our cats healthy, sometimes dragging out the inevitable far too long. It’s hard letting them go, and the last two prior to Sam we let them go sooner than the others because we didn’t want them to suffer. I’m sure you agree your Sam is his own special person—our Sam sure is. The Bible says “...the prayers of a righteous cat person availeth much...” so we’re sending ours your way.
Saying prayers to St. Anthony of Assisi.
My wife and I have seven of them. Two we found as little kittens sleeping in one of our large flower pots. The rest we rescued from shelters.
One we call “Peanut’’ because she’s so little.
Peanut showed up at our backdoor about six years ago with her right hind leg busted clean in two. The vet put it in a splint hoping it would heal but it didn’t so it was amputated.
Hasn’t slowed Peanut down. She runs around like a demon on the other three.
