I’m no psychic, but I’m troubled by visions of his rocket exploding on the launch pad. I sincerely hope I’m wrong.

I have been having the same vision. Looks kind a like this:

Honestly with that prick Bezos, it’s no real loss.

The rocket has already flown 15 successful trips.

The billionaire that owns Virgin went into space earlier this month. It’s no big deal now.

The real question is since Elin (Elon) has a working orbital spaceship the Dragon 2 why doesn’t he just pick 6 friends and take one up for a half day in orbit then land in the Gulf of Mexico. No additional work needed he already has a human rates spaceship that has twice now sent people to the ISS it would be super easy to just go up orbit for 12 hours or 24 and come back the Dragon certainly has the endurance for it. So why let Bezo be the “first”

Since the Dragon capsule is man-rated - Musk could just as easily go for a stay on ISS at LEO - ISS orbits around 250 miles up - which would be 4X what the losers were able to achieve: going to the Karman Line (100km; 54 nautical miles; 62 miles; 330,000 feet).

Bezos and Branson are the first private people to go up to at or near the edge of space in their own company’s creation. Unlike Musk, they are in the tourism racket; Musk is in the space & exploration business - 2 different business models.

The Cattle say it’s a good day for the Launch and Recovery.

In other words “All Systems are Moooove it on out.”

Keep rollin’, rollin’, rollin’
Though the streams are swollen
Keep them rockets burning’, rocket ride rawhide
Through rain and wind and weather
Hell bent for leather
Wishin’ my gal was by my side
All the things I’m missin’
Good vittles, love and kissin’
Are waiting at the end of my rocket ride

The thing about Elon...he DOES intend to go to space someday. The difference is...the way I understand it...when he finally goes up, he has no intention of returning. He wants to go all the way to Mars, and die there. He’s said so himself.

He’ll be very, very old before they have the tech to keep people alive during the crossing - unless they use nuclear powered ships with crossing times of 3 weeks or less. Not to worry, more failure of political will in the US will cede any type of direct nuclear propulsion.

Looked like a pretty hard landing to me. Never saw the thrust that was supposed to cushion the landing in the last 5 seconds of decent.........but glad all are ok, including Bezos, who I don’t care for at all.....I don’t wish him ill.

I just wish he’d go away.

It was actually fired in the last 6 feet above the ground, just like the Russians do with their Soyuz capsules. When they got out, they certainly didn’t look like they were in any pain.

The next question is: Would I do it? If I ever got that kind of money, you betcha! Heck, if I could afford it, I’d pay to do BOTH systems. If there is a way to to get this grown-up 6-year-old into space, I’d do it.

Im super rich and have my own rocket.

Basically the same thing Branson said on his high flight.

Go orbital or go home!!

We have been doing zero-G flights for over half a century. These rich guys are riding on the tails of Musk Period.

The Blue Organ launched. Bezos is back with his rush from a dumbass trip to space. Perhaps his employees should be treated better with the wasted bucks than for a trip nobody else gives a crap about other than Lil Jeff.
