Stop taking Tylenol if you’re not supposed to take it. It could lead to kidney and/or liver damage and death, even a few Tylenol.

If your doctor diagnosed ovarian cysts, isn’t he watching you? Call him immediately and let him know they are getting worse and you’re going to the ER. Then GO go to the ER.

Please let us know how you’re doing. God bless you.

Do get to a hospital. Generally, anesthesiologists are well trained to avoid giving you brain damage. Sometimes, we need to trust someone in order to survive.

Any ‘cognitive problems’ from anesthesia should only be temporary. If you ever get asthma, let them know in advance.
Saying a prayer for you now.

Get a complete hysterectomy. You don’t want to take chances with these things.

You need to have them removed. Go to your doctor.

I wasn’t posting “for attention.” I live alone and just was wondering what to do; there are a lot of very smart people here.

With all due respect, I consider your post a bit insulting.

Do NOT get surgery.

Take a cotton cloth and soak with Castor Oil. Place over area of cysts. Place plastic wrap over the area and a heating pad on top of that.

Sleep like that. Do as needed the next evening.

Google the subject (castor oil packs, ovarian cysts) to understand the why's and wherefore's. I'm sure the Medical Industrial Complex drones on FR will attack me for even suggesting this.

Go to the doctor. I have no idea what kind of medication they use for anesthesia up there but it should not cause brain damage.

You need to be seen because it might not be the cysts but something else.

In my case the doc told me I was having an appendix attack, turns out it was the darn cysts but you could be going the other way.

You might want to come back to the states if you can. If so I can give you the name of a surgeon who is excellent. Not even much scaring.

The other remedy for cysts are birth control pills. Sometimes they work. In my case no.

In any case, hospital. Now.

Persistent abdominal pain is rarely anything minor.

Thank you! :) That is so kind. :) We want you around, too!

I knew that Freepers would guide me in the right direction. It’s just that up here, going to a hospital is a lengthy, drawn out procedure.

Although during triage, I could add the level of pain. ;) But it is considerable.

Relieving the pain does not make the issue that is causing that pain go away. Get thee to a doctor, stat!

If it’s a fluid filled cyst, they sometimes rupture harmlessly. And sometimes when they rupture, they break blood vessels which can cause a bleeding problem..especially with cirrhosis. How about you call your doc and see what he/she says?

Anything that has the potential to burst inside you, cyst, or otherwise has the potential to cause peritonitis, which can kill you. I had severe pains in my left side and thought it was a reaction to antibiotics I had taken two hours before. The pain stopped, but 2 days later, somebody up above caused me to think twice and go to the emergency room to make sure all it was, was a bad drug reaction. Turned out I had a perforated bowel, and could have died had peritonitis developed. Don’t play around with your insides.

My wife gets them. She has pain for a week to 10 days then they quit. Take vicodin or something stronger for the pain.
I get them on my kidneys. Rarely life threatening. Diagnosed with ultrasound. Sorry to hear about this.

I had this condition. Surgury is the only way. I was also talked into a complete hysterectomy which I would not do again. It debilitates you in all sorts of ways. For many it brings on brain damage (yes you read that right).
You need to stop drinking and get your diet right (low carb, not low fat).
At this point I’m pretty convinced a bad diet is the cause.
