Management does not care? I’d insist no taking politics!
I do, too, and I eat a lot of it even though I'm not from the Subcontinent.
Sexless? The people who wrote the Kama Sutra?
Once you get taste of Indian restaurant food, all other food seems so tepid.
Yeah, sure.
Gotcha. I detest Mexican food, both in the states and in Mexico. One exception was Cabrito sold on sticks cooked over barrels in the street.
There’s Indian food and Indian food. Some can be yuk, but better Indian restaurants have delish meals. IMHO
Always wondered about Arthur C Clark moving to then Ceylon. He said it was an optimal place for sky scanning. Hmm?

. . . Same thoughts I had . . .
They’ll scrape for any Indian votes they can, against the idea of voting for a Republican, by any means available. Even if they have to go back decades to do it.
(How odd that they can’t find anything — or anyone — from the present with which to secure the Indian vote.)
Actually India was aligned with the US till the US tilt towards Pakistan. The move towards the Soviets was necessary to prevent China from attacking India again. The US China Pak axis, culminating in Nixon ordering the Enterprise into the Bay of Bengal to protect then East Pakistan, pushed India firmly towards the Soviets.
Ah, newsflash, if Nixon were a communist, why would he play a key role in the McCarthy Hearings regarding taking DOWN Communists, especially the likes of Alger Hiss? If anything, had he been communist, he would have DEFENDED Alger Hiss, not condemn him.
People change. Whittaker Chambers who fingered Hiss was once a communist.
I agree that people change, but then again, Nixon had a good opportunity to defect to Communism during the McCarthy era, yet never did (not to mention he spent his time trying to end the Vietnam War with us as the victors instead of handing Vietnam off to the VC, and pretty much came the closest to actually having America win). If anything, Eisenhower came far closer to defecting to Communism by muzzling McCarthy than Nixon ever did.
The most you can say about Nixon is that he’s a progressive Republican, and being progressive back then =/= being Communist or even a Communist sympathizer (let’s not forget that Woodrow Wilson was practically THE progressive president, and he was also a staunch anti-Communist warrior, supporting the Palmer Raids among others).
Nixon will never get elected now.
I’m not a big Ike fan in WWII or after.
Nixon never aimed for better than stalemate in Vietnam and settled for communist victory after a decent interval.
The Palmer Raids began Oct 7, 1919, 5 days after Wilson’s stroke.
Maybe, but he was still better than FDR or even Harry Truman overall.
And actually, Nixon aimed for an actual victory. Prager U even highlighted that Nixon in fact WON Vietnam, and went as far as to point out that even the Communists acknowledged at the time that America was if anything WINNING the war under Nixon’s direction. You can blame Walter Cronkite and Congressional Democrats for thinking we had a stalemate at best. Don’t believe me? Here’s the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hqYGHZCJwk
I’m pretty sure Wilson also played a role in evicting Emma Goldberg, who was a Leninist in all but name at the time.
