Please help bring sanity into my routine. The lock-down is beginning to act like a disease - not a horribly bad one - but a disease nevertheless.
What programs are on Netflix (my brother's account, not mine) or Amazon Prime that are worth the time. I wish we could get Poirot here in the states.
Thanks for any suggestions.
“Cuties” on Netflix? You are joking, right? Good grief. If anyone other than a “director” had posted some of what it shows, they’d be arrested for child porn.
Gropin' Joe would approve.
Norseman is hilarious.
I admit that most of my time is spent playing Civilization 5. The modding community has really outdone itself with the multitude and variety of mods.
Both have good stuff and junk
Netflix has much more content
Watch youtube
Season 1-2 of “The Man in the High Castle” is well done. In season 3, the script goes homosexual, and I turned it off. There is also one lame episode in Season 2 that is not necessary for continuity where a major plot point is a bunch of bio-engineered Nazis attend a party and take an LSD-type substance. I am sure the Nazis on Acid storyline sounded great at the time, but it is a low point in the series.
The actress who plays Juliana (Alexa Davalos), and the actor who plays Smith (Rufus Sewell) are exceptional. The antique store owner (Brendan Brown) is painfully embarrassing to watch, but is excellent.
Here’s a second for Longmire.
It’s got Katie in it :o)
Just watched “The Irishman” on Netflix. It was long, but held my interest throughout, and as much as I HATE DeNiro, it’ll probably be the last time we see the mob trio of DeNiro, Pacino and Pesci together in a good mob movie.
You can get Poirot.
It took a little work around for me
Watched it through Hoopla Digital through the local library. Also, it’s on Amazon through a pay channel but you can get 7 rolling days free through library 3 times a month. Acorn TV. It often doesn’t stop at the end of 7 days so usually get the whole month.
I like mindless drivel so watch a lot of stuff. I enjoyed the Doc Martin series.
Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries is good.
I watch a lot of foreign tv series on Amazon.
And if you are a fan of Survivor - Australian Survivor All Stars better than US. Had to watch that on Daily Motion
Line of Duty.....excellent
Five minutes on the naughty step, shark boy! :)
“Lilyhammer” and “Norsemen” (who knew how funny Norwegians are?)
Use the search function on Prime, lots of older movies - watched “If It's Tuesday This Must Be Belgium” last night.
Joe Biden, Ghislaine Maxwell and the Obamas highly recommend “Cuties” on Netflix.
I love the British shows!! Have you thought about adding BritBox to the Amazon Prime? I think it’s $6.99 more a month (no, I don’t have it but thought about it!).
Endeavour, which is Inspector Morse as Constable Morse (Prime).
Poldark (Prime)
And you often find shows uploaded to YouTube...*wink*
Well, if you're into that sort of thing, check out "Anne with and E". The sideways glances Gilbert gives...
Nice non-Skoal bulge in your cheek, my man :)
Season 1 of The Bureau is available on Prime.
Wife and I have been watching Brit cop shows.
