I know this won’t make any sense to those who didn’t grow up listening to “Beaker Street” on KAAY, Little Rock - but Clyde’s back and you can listen live right now online:
KAAY is a 50,000 watt AM station that didn’t have much programming late at night back in the early 70s, but they needed an engineer on duty at the transmitter and “Clyde Clifford” just played his favorite LPs and deep album cuts which was so unique it drew listeners from all over the midwest. To mask the noise from the transmitter blowers he played spacey-psychedelic music in the background which became the shows trademark.
