Very strange - my gym reopened today and I went to a group fitness class (now reservation only, heavy sanitizing, huge distances, no water fountains, etc.) and the only person there wearing a mask was a 30ish man who was so paranoid that when he wanted to drink from his water bottle he slipped it up underneath and put his fingers around the space. But the whole atmosphere at the gym had become one of suspicion and fear.
It’s weird because they’re ignoring the fact that even the CDC has said that it’s not spread from surface contacts, not spread from casual contacts unless somebody sneezes directly onto you....and that the masks give you almost no protection.
But the media has been so effective in spreading terror that most people, especially young people, would be happy to be locked into a box and sunk into the sea if it would prevent “the virus.”

That’s been on my mind lately. As the threat and instances of the WuFlu decrease, major retailers are making new rules TO wear masks in order to shop. I can think of Costco and Nordstrom just this minute, but I’ve read about others.
Why would they? It doesn’t make sense.
Two stores I know of requiring masks are Smart and Final and Costco I no longer will shop at Smart and Final, I get my meats at Costco so I run in get my meat and leave no more unnecessary spending there!! Walmart does not require masks so I go very early before all the low lifes arrive!! They usually sleep till noon so I miss all the screaming kids ect.
Face mask today.
