But there are a lot of easily led sheep on this site too. You are used to a lifetime of following and being told what to think.

Ha! Funniest thing i've read yet today. I am, and have always been a "contrarian." A "follower" is about the last thing anyone would accuse me of being. More like they would say i'm a "trouble maker" and a "rebel." I actually get called a "rebel" several times a month.

I do sometimes like to stir things up just for the sake of stirring things up. I believe people call it "trolling." I really should curtail that more, but I can't always help myself.

Yes, I guess i'm a little immature at times too, but I like to think we can all have lively discussions without the need to call people names or impugning their motives or character.

At least I wish we could. Liberals are usually the screechy little name callers. I would like to believe our side is better than that.

Ok Karen.

Yeah, that's a new idiom going around lately, but which is usually hurled at feminists and such.

As Will Rogers mentioned, it's not what they call you, it's what you answer to.

This is the team you're on and enabling, doomer.

Head of House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff Demands Google-YouTube-Twitter Step Up their ‘Authoritative’ Censorship and Silencing

On Thursday Rep. Adam Schiff, the most dishonest and compulsive liar in Congress, sent a letter to the CEOs of Google, YouTube and Twitter to urge them to use their “authoritative” powers to censor and silence voices during the coronavirus pandemic.

Last week YouTube CEO told CNN the company would silence anyone who strayed from official WHO policy. Google is cool with that.

In fact, the company is very proud of her censorship.

Wake up.

But it was okay when you idiomed somebody with the tired, 'okay boomer'. I see.

As Will Rogers mentioned, it's not what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Okay, doomer.

ALL fearbros are willing participants in mass hysteria, just as you are.

That's sounds suspiciously like the "no true Scotsman" fallacy. I make no statements about participating in a mass hysteria.

Don't be too proud to admit it. Better men than you have boughten the derp state line, hook, line and sinker.

The first step to overcoming addiction is admitting you have a problem.

And to what am I supposedly addicted? I about as critical of the deep state liars in Washington DC and their corrupt influence cartel as anyone you will find on this website.

I think the FBI have framed General Flynn, and committed all sorts of illegalities for which many of them need to go to prison. I think we need to clean out that nest of corruption and develop methods to keep it cleaned out.

But i'm not sure why you are linking the corrupt Deep state with this virus. I don't see a connection between the two.

We are here for you brother, at the other end.

Well it's good to know that there are people out there who are at least concerned for their fellow man. Good on ya.

Its just the flu, bro.

I keep hearing that, but I keep seeing evidence that this isn't the case. Again, 60,000 dead in a little over a month, and 60,000 was the top end of the estimated number of deaths for last year's flu for the entire season. (Six months of flu?)

This thing would seem to be six times worse than the flu, (if the death rate doesn't start declining) and that's WITH all the efforts to slow it down and contain it.

What would it have done if people simply didn't change anything they were doing?

I think there is a possibility most of the country would look like New York City does right now.

You like to think so, I'm sure, but on this you are following the herd.

I do sometimes like to stir things up just for the sake of stirring things up. I believe people call it "trolling."

All well and good, but you have had the unfortunate luck to have run up against the master.

If you are as smart as you think you are, you will take notes.

Yes, I guess i'm a little immature at times too, but I like to think we can all have lively discussions without the need to call people names or impugning their motives or character.

Very often, and especially in this case, the motive is the foundation of the argument, and must be impugned.

On the subject of the rona, there are 'motives' for your belief and opinion and motives are key. That's why I, at least, attack it. If it can be proven to you that your motives are wrong, then maybe you can get your mind right and earn your Fearbro card.

You purport to be seeking an honest man (tagline). You have come to the right place. Now learn to recognize one.

Too many people simply cannot accept a challenge to any of their dearly held opinions

Said the raven to the crow.

I think you misjudge me. I don't want to believe that this thing is very dangerous. I would much rather believe it's all hype and everything will be fine. I've also had a lot of experience at learning the difference between what you wish to believe, and what is actually true.

You will have better luck in life if you expect the worst and get pleasantly surprised than if you expect the best and get unpleasantly surprised. One of the things i've learned in life is that you shouldn't lie to yourself. You shouldn't believe things just because you want to believe them. Use your best judgement and be objective.

Cute, but none of your rhetorical tactics are effective.

As if that was the expected outcome. I am reminded of the counsel against trying to teach a pig to sing. It is a waste of time, and it annoys the pig. :)

Stick to your false data scheme.

What is my "false data scheme"? You're going to have to be more specific on this point. I'm not aware of any false data scheme I am putting forth.

If you can’t read the questions I can’t help you

I think the problem is on the articulating end, not on the comprehending end.

You ask an incomprehensible question, and then badger me for not answering it?

Perhaps this makes you feel better or something, but i'm like "meh." Another kooky person on the internet.

Yea, you gotta admit. That was a pretty good one.

I was laughing at it because it reminded me of the antics of Michael Scott from "the office." It was so absurd as a form of insult that it was actually funny, like one of those cult movie classics that is just so far over the top bad, it's actually entertaining.

I don't give it much for creativity. Kurt Schlichter is a guy I give credit for creativity. His insults are just awesome. I especially liked "bat soup flu." Another guy who could come up with really good insults was PJ O'Rourke.

Ann Coulter is also pretty good from time to time.

I make no statements about participating in a mass hysteria.

And yet you do. Participate, that is. With your every word, theory, and attack on the rational (flubros).

And to what am I supposedly addicted? I about as critical of the deep state liars in Washington DC and their corrupt influence cartel as anyone you will find on this website.

And yet you tow the derp state line on this manufactured crisis. You enable the derp state with your opinion and argument and failure to see the big picture.

This rona is part of the corrupt influence cartel that you claim to recognize. You just don't recognize this as an aspect of it. You believe the hype, which tells me that you still haven't completely kicked your addiction to derp state influence.

Cut the cord and be free, man. It feels great.

But i'm not sure why you are linking the corrupt Deep state with this virus. I don't see a connection between the two.

Yea, I know. And therein lies the problem. I link the derp state to China and China to this virus and its intentional release at the perfect time, and in response to the ongoing shadow war that Trump and America are currently waging.

This was a shot against team Trump and the patriotic real Americans by international and domestic enemies. Timed to affect Trump's re-election by taking down his economic gains and affect our electoral process in the derp's favor.

It's all very obvious and right there in front of our eyes, if you choose to see and connect the dots.

Any voice in favor of what the derps are telling us, is a voice against Trump and the people he represents. And America.

This is not a game.

This is the team you're on and enabling, doomer.

So this thing has teams or something? Funny, I thought the debate was whether or not it is dangerous, and whether or not it will kill an unacceptable number of people if it gets out of control.

That there is a political angle to it is not something I have been particularly interested in. I think Trump's going to win in a landslide, and I think this virus thing will eventually be vanquished, even if it is a deadly threat.

If it turns out to be less dangerous than it looked from everything I've read so far, I can only be pleasantly surprised form this point.

I keep hearing that, but I keep seeing evidence that this isn't the case.

I realize that everybody on FR is all of a sudden some kinda medical expert or Albert Effing Schweitzer, but I'm not.

I'm Captain Everyman and I have general automotive expertise (My Cousin Vinnie). I leave the medical jargon to those who actually know, of which that number is very low.

My read is that its just another variation of a flu or virus. Not the flu we are used to, but a natural occurring or man-made mutation.

Still, ultimately, just the flu, bro.

And no, we wouldn't look like Mad Max if we had reacted to it as to any other flu. That's the hype that was perpetuated on you by the derps to achieve their purpose. And achieve they have. So far.

Stop helping them.

It's not "tired" to me. I only recently learned of it, and it most accurately encapsulated the response I felt that rant deserved.

I don't see how "Karen" fits at all. I've only seen it used, and then only recently, in context of feminists lecturing men regarding how bad men are.

You like to think so, I'm sure, but on this you are following the herd.

More like, some people happen to be going in a similar direction as I am going, and you perceive them to be with me, or me to be with them. Not really.

All well and good, but you have had the unfortunate luck to have run up against the master.

Oh good. Where is he? I'd like to converse with him! What's his handle?

If you are as smart as you think you are, you will take notes.

Alas, I was never very good at that. :)

Very often, and especially in this case, the motive is the foundation of the argument, and must be impugned.

The "argument" as I understand it, is whether or not this disease is unacceptably dangerous. I see this as being an objective fact one way or the other, regardless of the motivation behind people arguing it on either side.

I firmly believe that reality is objective, and does not change based on personal viewpoints. It either is, or is not, a certain way, and what people want to believe, has nothing to do with it.

If it can be proven to you that your motives are wrong, then maybe you can get your mind right and earn your Fearbro card.

What are my motives then? Must one have a "motive" for everything they believe? That would seemingly become quickly unwieldy, having to remember all those motives and what not. It would seem to me that the truth is easier to remember, and has the advantage of being demonstrable by recourse to reason and evidence.

You purport to be seeking an honest man (tagline). You have come to the right place. Now learn to recognize one.

I'm pretty good at recognizing honest men, but you can't just accept everyone's word for it. They will all tell you they are honest men. :)

Usually it's a process to find out what is real and what isn't.

:)

I think you misjudge me.

My judgement of you is a work in progress.

I don't want to believe that this thing is very dangerous. I would much rather believe it's all hype and everything will be fine.

I don't think anybody's arguing that its not dangerous. There is disagreement as to the degrees of danger and our reaction to it as a people.

Here's an old bromide of mine. Belief is not what's important, truth is.

You will have better luck in life if you expect the worst and get pleasantly surprised than if you expect the best and get unpleasantly surprised.

That would be wonderful if having 'better luck in life' were the goal. Truth should be the goal. I find that seeking the truth can lead to contentment, so therefore knowing the truth trumps 'luck in life' any time.

I've also had a lot of experience at learning the difference between what you wish to believe, and what is actually true.

Just wishing to believe something should not be the goal. Finding the truth should be. If wishes were fishes, we'd all...uh. have a lot of fishes (forgot how that one went). We all want the good guys to win at the end of the movie. that is a wish to believe. In life, they don't always win. That is reality.

I've watched the wanna be medical experts and the real medical experts go back and forth with their 'data' for a while now. It occurs to me that truth lies on the side of the fearbro argument, when you factor in the political, derp state, shadow war component. They have motive to lie about the data. We don't.

I have deemed derp data to be false data based on my observations.

You parrot the derp false data and conclusions.
